it is so good for daily using.it is quiet when it is running. I like it very much.

I originally bought a macbook pro. however, I saw this macbook on sale for quite a bit cheaper, and returned the pro for this. The pro was overkill for my needs anyway. This thing has worked out great! Super light weight, easy to use, and still powerful enough that I don't really see a difference in speed for what I use it for vs the pro. I did also purchase the $79 adapter to hook up my phone while charging the laptop and also to charge any other USB item I would need to (magic mouse 2, mophie, etc). This thing even plays games (although at lower settings) with no issue! I have Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm, CS:GO, DOTA 2, and TF2 running on this NO PROBLEM. Overall excellent purchase for $999 and would suggest to anyone who doesn't need a pro.

I bought this one and I actually hesitate that it will be too slow for my basic use or not. But it's actually nice, light and easy to use. The thing is it's a little slow when you want to open new window to load the website but it's not the problem. It's not that fast as MBA but I love this MB12 more than MBA coz of the screen and the sound is great. I don't like the screen of the MBA and the sound. This is the great one so far for me. I love it.

Love the performance and portability of the MacBook. Excellent for travel or even computing sitting on the couch. Runs cool and gets the job done.

One of the lightest laptop which satisfies the functions i need. Would recommend for folks who only use it for light usage (email, web surfing, etc.).

I bought this Macbook to replace my wife's 3 year old MBA 13" and she loves it. It's so light, screen is so crisp & clear. Happy wife is happy life.

It's a nice starter computer for some one who likes mac. It doesn't have a sub port and have to buy and extra cable to be able to use sub devices.

I recently purchased the base Macbook model. I might have purchased it sooner if I had been able to find reviews posted by users that presented observations on actual use instead of opinions posted by people who have never seen or used this device. This Macbook is a companion to my 27" iMac so i bough it knowing it probably wouldn't be a rocket ship. I have not experienced any lag, stuttering or beach balls during daily use (email, web surfing with Safari, Evernote, Pocket, iTunes, YouTube, Photos). I have not done any photo or video editing on this machine because I use my iMac for graphics/processor intensive tasks. For my use, I am really enjoying the new keyboard and am hoping that the Apple bluetooth keyboard also gets the new key mechanism soon. It is a different feel from the already excellent keyboard but I find that I type faster with fewer errors. The keys are a little wider with less travel. I really prefer my Macbook keyboard to my Apple bluetooth keyboard and miss it when I am working on my iMac. The notebook stays cool and quiet during most usage. The underside gets warm near the hinge as does the area where the speakers are located during games and after more than a few minutes of YouTube video playback. I haven't experienced excessive heat. This device fits in all of the bags I have that accommodate my iPad Air. The only adapter I have purchased is a dual usb-a/c flash drive. I have not found that I need the extra ports while I am traveling. Many reviews I have read state that it is a defect of design to only have one port. I don't understand the need to keep an ultraportable device plugged in all the time. Most of the time, the one port can be used for peripherals only with charging being only done once every day or every other day. This is not a downside at all for my usage and enables the small and light form factor I prefer for use outside of my home. Of course my experience is applicable to myself only and others may have other perceptions of this device. It would be useful for shoppers if reviews were actually reviews posted by users or people who have purchased and returned what they are reviewing. There are a lot of forums for opinion pieces and editorials. I apologize if I am perceived as trivializing the opinions of others: that certainly isn't my intention.

I purchased this MacBook for college and I love it! Still figuring everything out on it but it's great!

It's the perfect hardware for your on the go needs. I wish they just offered the same free beats wireless for free like their Apple counterpart.

as expected Apple puts a quality product in your lap. but it's lack of an extra port is puzzling, until you realize you can buy a multiport add-on for $80. well-played, Apple, well-played.

The Mac book is light and easy to use. It may seem fragile but it can with stand alot. If you need a lot of storage then this isn't the book for you. My only downfall is all of the attachments that have to be purchased to accompany this book.

This is an amazing laptop for a college student. It has plenty of storage and works fast. I couldn't survive my freshmen year without it.

I love my macbook. It is the perfect size. My other laptops are too big and heavy. I need to be able to grab and go without the weight.

I bought this because it's light and portable. The screen is beautiful. It does what I expect it to do for my business and entertainment as well. The only thing is that it does not have USB port. A trade off with the thickness I guess.

prefer a different keyboard. overall stable. good starter for the kids

Works fine for textedit, preview, safari, with multiple windows open.

This is the most dependable, lightweight, and stylish laptop you will find. I installed windows just in case, and it works seamlessly.
