I bought a MacBook to replace an iPad 2 and a Windows laptop. I love it! I was going to get another iPad, but also wanted the ability to work like a PC, working and saving files unlike the iOS works. My wife has a 2009 Mac that still works flawless and should for years to come. The Windows laptop I replaced was only 2 years old and experiencing the typical windows issues I have seen at work as well (draggy, locks up, etc.). The MacBook is a great replacement for my iPad and Windows laptop.

I love the MacBook! I was hesitant to purchase as I have always had a Dell laptop but this is so much better than my Dell.

i really love the new macbook its sleek and very portable. The only thing i miss is extra ports so I had to buy an adapter

4 Stars for it being an awesome computer. -1 Star because of its ridiculous pricing that is literally the same as the superior 13" Macbook Pro Retina. Newer isn't always better. Especially when it comes to Apple and their superior marketing tactics. Don't get me wrong, this is a BEAUTIFUL machine. Everything is great about it. It's lightweight, a stunning retina display, compatibility & mobility, great keyboard, great mousepad, everything you'd expect from an Apple computer. But this is NOT a $1300 machine. Without going too deep into details with this computer (as you can already see the specs on the BB and Apple website), my simple and only advice is if you're going to shell out $1300, be smart and buy the Macbook Pro Retina Display instead. PLEASE. I can't stress that enough. With the same amount of money you're going to shell out, the Macbook Pro offers higher technical and physical specs than the Macbook. Seriously, the mobility of the new 12" Macbook is NOT worth it. You get weaker specs, less ports, and a smaller screen than the 13" Macbook Pro Retina and you get both at THE SAME PRICE. Just be smart about using your money if you're out looking to buy a Macbook. The most reasonable selling base price I would see this machine selling for would at least be 1199, which is somewhat on par with the larger 13" Macbook Air. Now that makes more sense to me! So besides pricing, this is a great computer. Would I recommend this computer to a friend? YES! Would I recommend my friend to buy the computer for $1300? NO! With that money, just buy the new refreshed 13" Macbook Pro. Trust me.

Such a fast computer. great display. This was my first Apple computer purchase and I don't think I could ever go back.

this was an excellent product. it has a super retina display screen, and is very light weight. My only complaint is that is uses a different power plug from the other Macbook's so I could not re-use my old cords.

I love how small, light and efficient this MacBook is. I have had 2 MacBook Airs before this one and I love it!!

Got it to replace my 2010 11.6 MacBook Air..... So far, so good. This is the lightest and thinner Mac that I ever own

I read so many reviews pointing out the "short comings" of this Macbook. My suggestion is, take it home and try it for a week. You won't regret it. The only thing you will regret is not buying one sooner.

Great computer, small, lightweight, lots of storage. I'm on the computer a lot and am loving the Retina display.

Yes it only has one port and isn't as fast as a Macbook Pro but that is ok! I love the thin profile and build quality. The battery life was good and screen is beautiful. Very happy with my purchase.

I own a IMac, MacBook Pro, MacAir. This is by far my favorite. Size, Screen Res, Power, everything is perfect.
