I have owned a Macbook pro since 2008. It still works but was looking for something thinner, smaller and faster. This is perfect! I am happy with the lighted keyboard since I didn't have it on my last mac. It also syncs well my with my android phone since I am not a fan of iPhone. It has the usb-3 for charging but you can connect usb-3 to usb adapter for other uses and a place for headphones. Macbook stays charged for about 12 hours and charges quickly. I could go on. Love love love....

This computer is light weight and sharp looking. I love the fun metal grey! The only down side is that you have to carry an adaptor for USB drives.

This is the 4th computer I have bought my wife in the last 8 years. The last 3 she has given up on within the first month. She absolutely loves this one. It is easy to use, fast, light weight and perfect for her. Overall a great choice.

I love how light this laptop is! It makes it so easy to take it anywhere, not to mention the color is gorgeous and so is the retina display! This laptop does not have ports for USB cords so any adaptor is need for that and there is no disc drive.

I have been a MacBook owner for several years. I have had the older MacBook Pros and currently have a MacBook Air that I use for traveling. We purchased this computer for my wife to use at home and work. It does absolutely everything we need and more. It is extremely light and I would ALMOST consider purchasing another for my own use. It's ONLY draw back is the lack of external ports. It has no external ports for making any kind of USB connections. It also does not offer a connection for the Thunderbolt Display which I use in my home. Apart from these limitations, it is an exceptional computer and I would highly recommend.

12" is bigger enough for the screen. like the long battery life, can last for whole day without charge. Light and easy to use. Love it.

My wife works in a medical spa and brings home "paperwork" to do on her computer. She saw this gold laptop and said "pretty!" I started looking at it a little closer and thought its perfect for what she does. The actual computer is nice, it's very solid. There is one single USB 3 port. I didn't see the benefit of doubling the hard drive or the 8% increase in CPU speed so I opted for the "lower end" model. It looks good and is perfect for the fashion snob crowd my wife deals with. They've been making comments about how nice the computer is. This is not for computer geeks and PC snobs that want to rewire everything. If that's you buy something else. If you are a fashion aware business person with some extra money to spend that wants a no nonsense reliable and very portable machine- this is for you. Apple is notorious for building reliable machines with very user friendly interfaces. It can't get any easier.

When I saw this online, I immediately was mesmerized. Researched further on the Apple store, I can't wait to have one,hence I ordered one from Bestbuy online right away, which surprised me because it was delivered sooner than I expected. When I got it, oh wow, everything was great. superfast, super sleek, super lightweight. . . .

love it. very slick technology, very thin, very light, very portable. love the keyboard. only drawback is that it is expensive. get it for the right reasons; if you need a physical disc drive, you should be looking at the Pro.

1 Small size and weight for travel #2 Can recharge via USB-C. This mean using USB battery banks, USB solar chargers, etc. to recharge off-the-grid is possible! There is no longer a need to duck in corners of airports, etc. to try to find a power outlet #3 Retina display. This is a huge visual upgrade from my MacBook Air that did not have Retina display.

Snappy laptop that is extremely portable and has an excellent screen. Had concerns about the absence of USB ports, but it hasn't been an issue so far. Also has a full sized keyboard on this little machine!

This is a great MacBook, I just wish it could of been closer in price like the 13" MacBook Air. I got this one instead, because of the way the keys felt & yes a lot less mistakes typing, love the bigger size. Love the new track pad I though I was going to have to get a mouse, but it turns out it to is easier & better then old ones & ones on the PC. I also got it for the color gold it came in, now it matches my iPhone6Plus which I love the size of. I am was using a PC, but have been wanting to change now for some time. I am glad I waited & it is great for what I will be using it for. And I am actually going to use it. Like in the PC mainly used for more backing up iPhone. With the new updated operating system I ended up using iPhone6Plus to do what used to do on the computer. But because the MacBook is so light weight I will be using it more like I do with my iphone6Plus.

This laptop is great for my uses. Streaming movies/shows. Browsing multiple web pages and utilizing the Microsoft office suite. Was concerned about processor speed but has yet to disappoint. Unbelievable light and easy to travel with. Battery life is superb and image quality is fantastic, shout out apple retina displays. The keyboard feels strange at first but within hours I adapted and haven't looked back since. Lack of ports is strange but with the hdmi/usb/usb c 3in1 adapter you'll never be unable to plug in. My wife loves the compact design and the ease of use. The processor is fast and it was easy to connect to the Internet. Overall she loves it.

Best screen, best SOUND, most PORTABLE Was worried about M processor at first. It was slightly faster than the latest MacBook Air & only $100 more than the Air. Sound of the 15" pro Screen of the 13" & 15" pro Lighter than all of them. Half the weight of the 13" pro. Office works flawlessly with it. Cmd+space bar+ WO+ return & word is open!

This macbook is my venture in to the mac world after being a loyal MS platformer for years. The macbook fires up fast, is able to handle multiple complex applications at the same time without wasting battery power and its very lightweight.

The MacBook is a stunning display of technology. The Retina Display screen is unequalled in clarity and color. The keyboard requires almost no effort but has great tactile response and resistance to error. There has never been a bad trackpad, but the Apple Force touch trackpad sets new standards. Significantly thinner an lighter than an iPad with a keyboard case, it is awesomely transportable. The only limitation is the single USB C port. If you have a wireless printer and good wifi and a network backup drive (Time Capsule or NAS drive), the lack of USB ports won't be a big deal. The icing on the cake is Mac OS X, so much more pleasant and safe than Windows.

After having a dinosaur of an HP laptop, this is perfect for me! Sleek, quick, easy to use, not sure I could have picked a better laptop for the customer service work I do remotely.

The new Macbook has been getting a lot of flack lately for its lack of ports and weak specs. The truth is, with a simple adapter you can have just about every port you need. The performance of this portable little dream is far better than the story told by its specs. It can run many games perfectly fine. It can handle video editing, photo editing and other CPU intensive tasks with ease. It's not an iPad with a keyboard, but it's certainly as portable and convenient as one. I'd highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a casual, everyday computer.

Great product, some great new features, such as the new butterfly keyboard which takes some getting used to and the new trackpad which is really nice, but lacks other important things such as a good quality camera, a lack of ports, not a really strong battery, and not as powerful cpu as the other mac models. So, if you are looking for a good regular day activities such as checking your email and such, this is the one for yo. If you use you cpu for more strong activities and mind the lack of features then I would go for either the Macbook Air or the Macbook Pro.
