Recently purchased this MacBook and I can't say I'm impressed. It's really just another over priced MacBook in my eyes. The retina display makes a huge difference between non retina display MacBooks but that's because MacBook is behind in screen display already compared to competitors. So just any enhanced screen resolution would look better than the older MacBooks.

I bought my MacBook at my local Best Buy because I wanted a machine for work that was light, portable and could stream not only my lectures but also video, audio, maps, etc. during class discussions and that I could leave at work to take to meetings or bring back and forth with me daily and for travel. I needed a VGA adaptor but you need that on even older macs these days anyway. At two pounds the computer is amazing. It's so light it weighs less or comparable to an iPad with a keyboard case. I have a wireless speaker in my classroom already so that wasn't an issue--though it does have an audio jack on the computer. The keyboard is great and fun to type with. It feels like a brand new vision of a Mac--which it ultimately is. The wifi adaptor is super fast and downloads and streaming is amazingly fluid and look fantastic on the screen. I'm not running massive programs on this but using the full Microsoft office suite as well as YouTube, Safari, multiple chrome pages, etc. all at the same time don't slow the machine down at all. I have a 2014 Pro with retina that I really don't use much unless I want a camera card reader. The battery life is also amazing! Couldn't be happier.

Ok, if you have not seen these little guys this is a spectacular computer! The gold color is very attractive, the whole system looks high class and it boots fast. I got this at a discount as an open box item. It was just that, never touched or unwrapped, just the box had been opened. Your experience may vary, but check out the open box deals.

I bought 3 of these, one for my wife, one for my daughter, one for myself. I bought them because I prefer Mac's security system, general operating system (fewer bugs, worms, and misc.junk) than Windows systems. I like the style of them better, if only because they don't seem "cheap," Well, he said emphatically, they shouldn't because they're not!

First, this new MacBook is truly the thinnest and lightest notebook. It has nice new features and it is a pleasure to with this computer
