This is my first personal laptop. I've always had a company laptop that was always older technology. Since I no longer need the company laptop for work I decided to purchase what I believe is the best solution for a personal laptop with the technology that will last many years.

If your like me and for the most part have use technology made after 2005, just set aside a couple of hours to get the basics of this down.

I purchased this macbook for a family member for christmas. unfortunately i had tot return it.. the trackpad stopped working after a couple days of use... then the second one also strated to freeze so i ended up returning that as well. Since i have a macbook pro, i just ended up buying that model instead... I ddint like the C-port neither....

Its nice laptop with retina display with only one problem that it has just 1 USB-C port. This means that you would have to buy many adapters to insert USB drives, or HDMI cables, etc. The adapter from Apple that supports three functions (charging, HDMI, and USB) is about $90. So this laptop comes with lot of cost of these adapters.

I've purchased this laptop for myself as a college student. Apple quality is outstanding since this laptop has lasted for years, 5 to be exact. It doesn't make a lot of noise like other laptops when it's being constantly use. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the heaviness of it. The Macbook Air is lighter to use but I prefer the black outline for the screen on this laptop better.

Only issue wirh the conputer is the lack of USB ports

Absolutely no concerns at all with the functionality of this laptop, however I had to return the original one I purchased because it was stuck in a boot sequence and wouldn't respond upon initial setup

Description of item did not mention that the computer does not have any USB ports.

I've been eyeing this laptop for over a year and jumped at the opportunity to buy it while on sale. It's all that I imagined it would be and some. A huge plus is the super fast charge. I would suggest investing in an adapter for usb capabilities.

It's a good notebook,and the purchase is very good too.After I purchased this macbook,and I got the new coupon of $100,then I go to the bestbuy store in Gainesville,the customer service update the new coupon.I saved the money.It's very great!

I'm definitely not tech savvy by all means but have enjoyet his slim and lightweight laptop. I wish there was more help in learning how to work it but overall I am very happy with this purchase. I can throw it in my purse and be off on my way!

Price is purely what motivated me to purchase this laptop. Usb-c isn't ready for mainstream use yet. Although this mac boasts being a light it still needs a few adapters which defeats the point entirely. Buy a different mac if you want less aggravation with adapters and a lack of grunt for day to day use.

I was looking for a laptop for business use. It is sleek and light weight.

I bought this for my cousin who just got admitted into a college. He likes it a lot. Also he finds it is not suitable for computer games but for work and study. I am glad that he realized the purpose of owning a laptop is not for fun only.

Keyboard kind of sucks and is hard to type on and computer is slow but it's a decent enough replacement for a iPad

As a fourth year college student, I felt that I needed to upgrade my laptop. It had been at least five years since I last purchased a computer and I needed something that would be more modern and helpful to me in my major classes; I also needed something that I could use when I start my career. When searching for a new laptop, I had three things in mind that I was looking for. I wanted something that was light-weight because I intended to carry it in my book bag on campus regularly. I was also looking for something that takes up minimal space, but also has a big enough screen to be able to look at full size text. The computer I intended to buy would also need to have a warranty or technical support package. The new 12 inch Apple MacBook is perfect for a college student who likes to carry their computer around on campus without feeling the extra weight of a big computer. The MacBook is light-weight and very thin so it doesn’t take up too much space in your book bag. It’s also very durable for its size and the computer screen is the perfect size. When purchasing this product, you also have the option of picking between three colors, which is a new feature with MacBooks. Apple products also come with a one year warranty, with the option to extend that warranty at an extra cost. It’s important to have this type of warranty because anything can happen to the computer when it’s being transported on a regular basis from location to location. The MacBook is 12 inches in diameter, 13.1 millimeters wide and weighs about 2 pounds when closed. I loved how easy it fit into my book bag, even with a case on it. It was even thinner than most of my notebooks! I also loved how I unconsciously carry it to class every day because it’s so light. The display is only 12 inches, but its “edge-to-edge” glass makes the screen look bigger than it is; and with over 3 million pixels, the picture is very clear. The plus to purchasing this computer is the option to choose from three different colors: grey, silver and gold. Being that gold is one of my favorite colors, I was happy that I was able to customize my computer that way. One thing that makes this computer hard to buy is its price. The starting purchase price is roughly $1200, however, after using the MacBook and experiencing its convenience, I’ve realized that I have made a great investment!

For me, this is The best computer that I have until now! I came from Windows a little bit afraid, but in the first day I exchange my mind completely! Everything work faster and great if we compare with Windows. I really recommend.

I purchased this laptop for my college student. After reading many reviews I decided this was the perfect computer for him. Needless to say he exchanged it for a laptop with a bigger screen but it had problems overheating. He has kept the other computer although I wish he would have kept this one. I believe this model does not have the overheating problem.

Best Buy had a great sale and I picked this 12" Apple up for a great price. It is my favorite laptop they have ever made. It's not for video editing, but the screen and the quality of the SSD makes it plenty fast to do office work
