Just one small problem: I cannot get used to the keyboard. Under-powered sometimes, but still great.

I've had a MacBook Pro for years (mid 2012 model). I used that laptop every day since the day I got it, and it was great, but I realized that it was slowing down, and I wanted something more portable. I have fallen in love with the MacBook. It has everything I need and is incredibly easy to take from place to place. I was extremely hesitant about the one port, but it hasn't been a problem. It's a slight inconvenience to be unable to plug in my phone, external hard drive and iPod all at once, but it's livable and not a deal breaker by any means. The retina display is gorgeous and everything works beautifully. I'm getting a Bachelor's in Biology, so everything I need is pretty basic. This laptop offers me everything that I need, plus a little more. Highly recommend.

I never write reviews, but this one is definitely necessary. This is the first MacBook I've owned. I've never used a MacBook prior to purchasing this, so everything was a learning experience. I must say, I love it! I cannot speak highly enough about it. The MacBook itself is absolutely gorgeous. Not only is it pretty to look at, it is so easy to use! The trackpad might be one of my favorite parts. There are so many gestures you can do that make it a really functional piece. I do not normally enjoy typing on laptops because of the flat keys, but the keyboard is very comfortable! I honestly do not have a single complaint about it!

I have finally made my macbook purchase. The struggle is just NOT worth it anymore for basic browsing. Being able to be high and not have to worry about installing hidden installers within bogus freeware is just priceless. Life is too short to deal with the downhill struggle of microsofts bloated w10 interface which can hardly run on ANY new pc thats under $500. I am an audiophile by passion, and these speakers meet my requirements for my picky ear. Better than Bang&Olufsen from HP or HarmonKardon in Toshibas. Warm sound, while not being too bright. excellent treble extension for such small speakers. Apple has developed a nice sound signature over the years. Its starting to perfect its way. Battery life is all day. F*** the cord. I can easily forget it and not have to worry. I usually use this guy to his max potential. (which takes spotify, old school runescape, AND Skype calls to peak it. Speakers will pop as the processor prioritizes system over user processes. Basically, for a person who browses the web, edits photos, and basically anything but gaming, this macbook is for you. Click, respond, click respond. 0 hang. We are now in an era where the hard drive on PCs are being held back by the full potential of the intel processor. This flash storage shows that example EXCEPTIONALLY. Think an i3 is too slow? It might just be that vinyl of a hard drive. 1.1ghz runs everything people. Put flash storage on your windows pc then come see my review again. Then come get your macbook at your local best buy. 3 colors. Pick your poison. Didn't once think of returning. no remorse.

I brought this computer at a great price and I love it.

I bought this computer for my daughter at Christmas along with an HP so she could get the one that best suited her. After trying both computers, she decided to keep the HP because the Mac Book was too small for her to type comfortably. Since she is going off to college in a year's time, she felt she could accomplish more on the HP.

This MacBook perfect for Newbies, another fine intro product into the world of Apple.

It meets my expectations, except for the battery life which lasts below 3 hours.
