I had the Macbook Air before purchasing this item. I love My new macbook and its very light and easier to carry around in my backpack. The only problem is the camera for FaceTime/PhotoBooth is not good at all. Its VERY blurry compared to the Macbook Air.

There seems to be a bug with the new OS. After installation, it would not accept my password. Of course, I typed it correctly, but I called the tech, talked for 1 hour, and then finally worked after HD password reset and 3 reboots! Otherwise, it's great to use, and very light. Hopefully it will last at least 2 years....

This computer is the epitome of awesome. I love the design and how light it is, and it's functional enough for on the road!

Went from a less than 1 year old Dell. First month i got it, it gave me problems. Received this Macbook for Christmas and I have to say it is everything I hoped and dreamed off. Also Oh so portable. Cant wait to get back in college to use it.

This laptop was an excellent purchase, it's size is perfect for travel since I use it for schooling and stays in my back pack for the most of the day. It's programs over all make life easier and are very understandable and manageable.

After some of the more critical reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about buying a MacBook. Now that i have, I am delighted. Most of the complaints come from people who expect the MacBook to have the same functionality as a much bigger machine. In fact, I find it an engineering marvel that meets my precise needs (a compact full capability supplement to my desktop machine).

I bought this with some doubt and concerns but they were all put to bed after a couple days of use. This is the perfect travel laptop. Fits an airplane tray table better than any other laptop.

As a photographer, I don't want to lug around a heavy laptop. This is great! 12" screen is perfect for viewing photos!

I have this MacBook for more than 2 months. So far I am happy with it. It is light weight, stylish, easy to use. The only problem is lack of power. For the price I paid for, it is a good deal though.

I love how this laptop is small and weightless. It works great and battery lasts. One think that I would probably not like so much is that you have to buy a c adapter to plug in thumb drives, etc.

Very nice laptop, but it wasn't for me. I really liked the lightweight and small size. The Retina Display is good, but I noticed that it would become unfocused when scrolling web pages quickly. It would refocus, but it was noticeable. The bezel around the screen is really minimized compared to a Macbook Air and I really appreciated that. I knew going in that there was only one USB-C port. That said, adding an extra USB-C would make this more usable for me. Also, I prefer a bigger screen, I'm used to the 13.3" Macbook Air and even that screen feels small.

Super love this mac! Buy it if you're a light user and REALLY WANT A SUPER LIGHT ELEGANT laptop! This is the perfect buy! GOLD IS the eye-candy!!

Ya do it! Drink the kool-aid and buy a Mac! PC's are so not Macs. Ultra light, ultra classy, ultra nice display, NO BLOAT WARE!, flawless syncing with iCloud and my Mac desktop. Stop reading this and buy one. Professionals use Macs for a reason. Only flaw is that I am having a hard time finding a case that agrees with me.

Great speed and sharp display, though not quite as fast as my 2012 MacBook Pro. Needs adapter cables for ethernet, usb devices, and video, but worked fine with 3rd party cables. Recommended instead of a tablet because more versatile.

this laptop is just perfect. no regret getting this for everything. its light and fast!

I sold my 2015 13" MacBook Air and bought this new MacBook 12" and now, after3 months, there's no regrets. I am running After Effects and FCPX and everything else works great on this super lightweight computer. The USB-C port is perfect, you can transfer a 500MB file in 1 second, it's amazing. I also bought the iLuv adaptor with 1 regular USB port, 1 HDMI and 1 extra USB-C ports; that's all you need to be connected with any other devices. It's really portable and use to carrying it inside an envelope, so nobody knows you have a $1K computer with you. ;)

What a great product once again by apple the color and weight are alone amazing but with the speed of the processor the laptop is pretty sweet!

Great little computer! Lasted me 5 years and worked perfect.

My previous mobile laptop was my MacBook Air but now this is my on-the-go laptop. I love it despite some built-in limitation.
