One of the best laptop up to date from apple. It is extremely light and fast. The screen is beautiful. Overall, a great product!

This is my first Apple computer but I've had iPhones, iPods & iPads. I was hesitant to make the purchase with the price point being so much higher than computers with similar stats but after tons of research I bought the Space Gray. Which I got in less than 24hrs after making purchase at BB store when Apple said 4-6 weeks. But I love the size & look of the 12" MacBook. It's been so much easier getting used to since I've used windows my entire life. Wish I would've made the switch sooner. Battery life last me about 2 days on a full charge. I use it for approx 3hrs each day. The only & fairly substantial downfall is the lack of cooling fan. It lets them get the slimmer design than the MacBook Air but mine gets extremely hot after a short time of using Google Chrome browser. I initially bought the '15 MacBook Air but quickly noticed I needed more RAM then weeks later this was released. So I returned the Air & bought this one. It comes standard with 8GB of RAM & 256GB of storage in the $1,299 model. Each of those upgrades are $100 each & the MBA would've been $1,199. But that didn't come with the new force touch pad, which unless you use Safari browser is really useless. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Great device that I plan to have for several years to come!

This is my first Apple MacBook and I couldn't be happier. The size, function, and operation have been more than I could ask for. The battery life is amazing, speed, ease of use, and the look are so great! Getting used to the Apple functions has been challenging at times, but totally worth it. I will never be going back to PC.

Slick, portable and light. Better than the air because the screen is maximized to the edge. Downside is only having 1 port and needing to purchase an adapter to be able to use more than 1 port (usb and charge the laptop).

I like this laptop a lot. It is very sleek. No major issues at all. Very thin and light. Use this as a secondary laptop so havnt had an issue with the usb C restriction.

Light, Functional. Great screen. I have had several apple computers and this is the best overall. I mainly use it for surfacing and research for the history classes that I teach. Plenty of other good laptops out there but this is one of the best.

This 12" MacBook is great. It is insanely thin and light at 2lbs which makes it so easy to carry around campus and around the house. Only having one port has been no problem with wifi and the cloud being available almost everywhere now. The keyboard takes a little getting used to but once you do you will love it. The MacBook is the perfect computer for students, travelers, and Apple lovers.

Let me just say, don't let the M core processor turn you off. This MacBook is super fast super light. It has of of the greatest displays out there. It also has no annoying fans trying to cool down the CPU. I thought it was going to run sluggish because of the processors. That is not the case, it works great. I run Adobe Photoshop and illustrator for work without a problem.

Only downside is the one port issue, otherwise it's the perfect size for someone smaller or more petite. The logo weight design makes it just as portable as a tablet and it has a sleek eye catching design

This is not going to be your major computer. However, if you have a desktop or other more power laptops, and you want to get another one which is thin/light/easy to take with you, get this one! You won't be disappointed. It just feels like a magazine in your hand.

Very light and beautiful design. Really good quality. Good for traveling, reading, studying, email, and browsing web. Not for game or other heavy works.

As OS platforms are like religions there is one thing you will need to adopt with this type of device (form factor) no matter what OS - cloud access and storage. Unless you are planing on another investment in cables and adaptors. Once you are past that if you have invested in AppStore applications they are right there or your TimeCapsule backup should work well. Battery life is as advertised and there have been very few problems with peripherals, it is certainly meeting up to expectations. It is also a fantastic form factor with 25 years of carrying around equipment this is certainly a bit of relief on the shoulder. But if it's not syncing or connecting through network or bluetooth consider a macbook pro, not personal to me but the only complaint i have constantly heard from other users is "ports".

Super lightweight, good battery life. You almost forget about carrying it with you. The weight reminds me of my iPad. I would also highly recommend the Digital AV adapter when getting this MacBook since it only has one port, USB-C. Overall, superior product.

The new MacBook is extremely light and compact making it great to take for travel while still having the capabilities I need. It was easy to transfer data from the desktop computer to the laptop using the iCloud. However, the cost is a premium to get the new lightweight technology.

It was a toss between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro...but I chose the pro because of the reviews and seeing that the processor was faster and the make of it was different. However, I just wish there was a USB port. I had to buy a separate piece to be able to get the USB connected to my laptop which I wasn't aware of. I was under the impression that specific port was versatile. Other than that, it's a great laptop. Very light and small. Not bulky at all. Just keep in mind you have to get a separate item to be able to plug your USB.

There were a lot of concerns on the speed and power for this product. It's not an issue for me since I use it for basic, work use (Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, etc.). Great battery life and easy to travel with.

This laptop is amazing. It's so light and offers a high quality screen. It's perfect for work or school, and works in conjunction with an iPhone. Also the cost is relatively affordable.

Definitely worth the money. It's basically a tablet with a keyboard attached as it is extremely light and easy to take with you. Best part is the weight, easy to type keyboard and retina display. The space grey color is also really neat.

LUV the retina display. LUV the keys. LUV the lightweight. A little less luv for the speed, Wish a slightly larger screen size was available. Wish the "adapters" were less pricey.

Started college, needed a small laptop for class. Apples's MacBook gave me the portability and speed of a laptop that can handle homework and the occasional use of watching movies.
