I am very surprised that I have had difficulties with my new computer. Connecting to the internet, sending mail, changes in standard applications.. I was expecting everything to run more smoothly like they always do when you get a new computer but that's not the case. My biggest issue is sending mail. I've been on the phone with Apple several times to reconfigure my mail settings and I'm still having problems. In my years of owning Apple products, this is the first one that has frustrated me to the point where I'm thinking of returning it. We have other Apple computers in the same household, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, several iPads, iPhones.. and I'm the only person who is having problems. My old Macbook worked better in comparison and it is 6 years old. I know this is not a hardware issue but how much trouble do I have to go through to get this working smoothly?

I travel all the time and need a full fledged computer that's thin and light. This MacBook is perfect!

I've gone through a lot of laptops in my days. About 6 years ago I became a mac user, and the same laptop I got has given me zero issues. It never even felt slow, unlike my windows laptops I needed every year. When my wife wanted a mobile laptop when starting law school, we knew what to get. She's been using this for months now without a single complaint. We got an adapter for the Type C connecter, but she has yet to use it lol.

I bought this as a gift to my niece who is going to college and she LOVES it!!

Despite its footprint, it's a workhorse. I run analysis using AWS on it. Fast, light and elegant.

Keeps getting stuck after 7 hours with one hour left. Went to BB to get a cable to migrate data instead of doing it over the network but they didn't have one and were of no help. Went to Apple and they sold me the cable and told me to back up onto a hard drive and them download onto the new computer.

Macbook is a nice compact laptop for someone on the go. Two small issues- 1) Camera is only 480p which is less than on any other Apple products. The image is very blurry and substandard for Apple. Don't understand at all why Apple would do this, creating a flaw in an otherwise stellar laptop. 2) The USB-C means you need an adapter for any USB devices, SD Cards, or ear phones you want to plug into your laptop. It also means you can not charge your Macbook while using any other devise unless you make sure the adapter you have has the ability to use multiple plug in's at once. There aren't that many adapters out there that do this.
