I want to love this laptop and for the most part it holds up to my old MacBook pro, but the keyboard issues can't be ignored. Only one month after buying the laptop, I'm getting phantom spacebar and period key strokes when I'm not actually hitting the keys. It is very annoying and makes typing documents frustrating. Now I have to go through a while repair process

Is very nice and sleek but the keyboard is too small and uncomfortable if you’re a student and writing essays.

This was too small for my grandson's big hands. We returned it and got a larger computer.

This MacBook has a lot of glitches. I ended up trading it in.

This laptop does not function very smoothly and glitches a lot. It gets hot very fast too.

I don't know why the fan gets so loud with this laptop.

After only a few months it has stopped charging or turning on. I need help

Nice computer just not what I thought I was getting

I bought my MacBook may 2018 by August 2018 I was already expierencing malfunctions ex: device gets too hot, battery life expectancy is low, when watching videos screen turns green. I have an appointment coming up with the geek squad, hoping to get another MacBook replacement because this one is trash not to mention I paid over $1200

It might be a good fit for someone, but not for me. I need a laptop for lots of typing and this one was just too small and felt cramped up. I ended up returning and getting a 13" screen.

If you have not held the new MacBook in hand, it is almost impossible to think how a computer can be so light and so thin. In some ways, it almost seems like an iPad with a clamshell keyboard attached to it. To make space for the small form factor, many 'normal' features had to be removed: no CD drive, no USB ports (save for the USB-C charging port) and no HDMI port. This computer was truly designed to be ultra portable and is not peripheral feature heavy. While I was looking for a computer that is easy to tote around, this could be a reason to consider a different model for some users. Since I was switching from a MacBook Pro, I found that the keys (like the new Magic keyboard) are more shallow and take some getting used to. This makes for a small learning curve, but overall it is a non-issue. The loss of some factors of convenience (no USB drive, etc) are more than balanced with the impossibly thin design of the new MacBook. It almost seems ridiculous when you look at other larger laptops after using this computer. Keep in mind, if you don't already have one you will need a bluetooth mouse, etc to get the job done. More than just a cosmetic choice for the MacBook is the aluminum shell. I opted for the gold finish, which looks stunning. Since the laptop is so light and thin, the aluminum makes it feel like the construction is sturdy and not flimsy. Overall I am very happy with the computer. I would urge that anyone considering the device thinks long and hard about the need to use peripherals and if they can live without USB/ HDMI ports and a DVD drive natively built in to their laptop.

its very slow and some of my letters get stuck. Its very hard trying to get work done.

Really looked forward to the new design and keyboard but not really worth it in the end. Get a MacBook Pro for the same price.

I bought this computer on November 27th. Didn’t use it for a month and only use it for school. Today, I brought it to Apple and was told it would take three to five days to get it back. I have finals on in five days.... I asked them to replace it and was told they wouldn’t, only option I have is to wait. Called Apple three times and was told the same everytime. Looks like I’ll be buying pc and droid again.

Keyboard went out on the second day my daughter used the laptop. Then we had to wait several days for a shipping box to arrive to send it back and several more days for them to return the same laptop back to us with a new keyboard. Seems to be working ok again for now, but my confidence in the product is sketchy at best now.

I tried the google Pixel book first but too many issues so I picked up the new mack book with the M3 processor. This macbook IMO flies no slow downs at all very smooth. I use this macbook for email ,photos and the internet and it has more than enough power. The size is perfect and lightweight to boot don't hesitate to spend the extra dollars for something that just works! Apple does it again and again and again..........................................

Very fast for intended purposes of web surfing, video watching, and daily student/business activities. Only has one usb-c connection but this is easily overcome by a usb-c hub for $40 that has up to 9 connections. Runs Win10 in Parallels 13 very well. We have this laptop and a 2017 MacBook Air. I find myself using this much more due to its convenience and near instantaneous performance.

This Mac it was over price so wouldn’t recommend it to a friend
