    Great affordable computer for college

So i finally traded in my old 2011 Macbook pro for my new 11" Macbook Air and i couldn't be happier. After getting my $150 off coupon from Best Buy i decided to also trade in my old Mac and got $215 or $365 off the sales price of $855, so as you can see I saved a great deal.... Its extremely light weight and portable so it doesn't make my backpack feels as heavy. I love the performance and speed in which i can load my apps and obviously how seamless the Apple OS is to operate. Overall, its a better computer than my old Mac pro while also being 1/3 the weight and 1/3 the price....

I bought this laptop about a month ago and was nervous that it will be too small but it's a perfect size. It's pretty light and easy to travel with. The processor is really good. Great laptop for everyday or for traveling. I love it and definitely recommend it.

It's light and fast, two very convenient things for a college student. This is coming from a windows 10 user, it's great for taking notes. The keyboard feels great for typing, and the backlit keys are great for late night studying. It's an incredible laptop.

This MacBook is great, the size is great, not too big not too small, and it's really lightweight which makes it easy to carry around. The battery is long lasting, which means it doesn't have to be plugged in all the time. This was my first Mac computer so I was afraid that I'd find it complicated to use, but it isn't complicated at all. Overall, this is a great computer and I'd definitely recommend it.

It's the best, lightest laptop ever. If your looking for something light for school but yet able to get all work done, this is it. I wish it would've came with like a user manual because i was always so used to Windows that i didn't know special commands or some basic functions. It's a great product!

    Convenient Laptop for Student

I am a student whose laptop died a couple weeks ago. I needed an immediate replacement and I searched online for several days contemplating which laptop would be ideal for school. After my intense online for the "perfect" laptop I settled on the Macbook air. And I love it. I am going to have to eventually buy a superdrive, just because I don't think that the 128g is enough storage.

I wanted a fast SSD based laptop. I really love this laptop. In my experience, it's faster than the new Macbook for considerably less. Plus the Air has 2 usb ports which the Macbook doesn't.

Excellent for students, battery last all day, no need to turn it off, just keep it on standby and you have a long lasting ready to use Mac.

I have an iMac and a Macbook Pro but needed something small and compact for school. It is the perfect size and when I am using it, it doesn't even feel like I am looking at a small screen. It is the perfect computer for me! I definitely highly recommend it.

This is the perfect size laptop for traveling. Small enough to fit in a personal item on airplanes, good battery, and enough power to do whatever you need on an airplane or in the airport.

I needed this laptop to be small and light enough to fit in my purse to take with me on appointment. This laptop exceeds those expectations, as it is also easy to use and has great speed.

    Best laptop I ever had

So after having the old model of the same mac air for 8years, I would say that this laptop is worth to buy! I had Toshiba for 6years before but stopped working. While this one is different you get what you pay for! Still working well even if I dropped it a few times, very lightweight and looks really nice. The only thing is that you have to be careful not to spill on the keyboard even just a drop of any liquid or else the key will stop functioning. Overall, it was a great buy though it's expensive, I used it for playing games and online class/studying. I love it!

I first purchased a Macbook in 2008. In 2012 I upgraded to a Macbook Pro. Now, in 2016, I've given the 11.6" Macbook Air a try. I am incredibly impressed by it's speed, versatility, and portability. It is truly a "can do it all" laptop that is awesome if you need to be on the move. I highly recommend!!!

This is a smaller version that I got for one sibling. He was happy with this form factor, since is easier to fit into his backpack.

    Just OK

I bought this solely to use as a secondary computer. I have an iMac at home, but a lousy internet connection, so I occasionally need to go to the local library to get work done, and this laptop will fit the bill. I bought it because it's Apple's cheapest laptop, and I got a great deal on it on sale. Can I ever imagine using this as my main computer? No. What I like about it is that it's small, lightweight, easy to carry around, and it's a Mac. The tradeoff is a small screen size, but for occasional use it's okay. I don't particular like the trackpad--I have to use a mouse because using the trackpad kills my wrist. The worst part of the Macbook Air is definitely the screen quality. I know it's not a "Retina" screen, but even so, Apple could have put a better regular screen in it. The viewing angles are so embarrassingly bad that there isn't even a single sweet spot. Even when you're staring straight at it, dead center, you can notice the color shifts around the right and left edges of the screen.
