This is the best computer I have ever owned. I wish I had switched to a Mac years ago. It's powerful, fast, light weight and the battery life is awesome.

My 8 year old Dell Inspiron laptop died, leaving me in need of a new computer. Initially, I had purchased another Dell from a different store, but returned it due to issues with connecting to the wireless internet. After hearing colleagues say they always buy electronics from Best Buy and have been happy with their service, I decided to give them a try. Having taken on some new creative adventures, and, being someone who appreciates longevity and quality over the next "it" thing every 3-6 months, I decided to invest in a Mac. Although I have yet to learn all of it's features, I have been consistently impressed with its performance and quality to date. It's quick to start up. Easy to use. And incredibly portable.

My 2011 Mac Book Pro was becoming outdated, so I purchased this computer. This computer is so much faster and lighter. No more back pain from carrying a heavy computer in my backpack. Highly recommend.

This is a great laptop to purchase for the overall reason that it's ultra light. I sometimes forget and have to double check to make sure it's in my bag because with the amount of books I carry on a daily basis around campus it makes me feel as if my laptop isn't there. Overall a great product despite its small memory. I would Highly recommend it for everyone especially if you're a college student.

Used a MacBook Pro for school but it was really heavy so I opted for an Air and really love that it's so light weight but as elegant and powerful as all the other MacBooks. Great battery life also.

I use this for my main laptop and have yet to run out of storage space (although I did purchase an external hard drive for my pictures, etc.; I'm a bit of a digital hoarder in that regards) and I absolutely love it. Super functional and super light- plus the processing speed is great (video, multiple word processes, internet browsing, etc.). My recommendation to future buyers is BUY A CASE, and buy office suite! It does let you export documents to be Microsoft compatible, but sometimes they get corrupt depending on the year of Microsoft opening it. :)

It's lightweight, fast, easy to use, couldn't ask for more. I really prefer this to my old Windows laptop. It just works so much better. I do wish it had a CD/DVD drive, but I haven't needed it yet.

The MacBook is easy to use, reliable, and works seamlessly with my other Apple products (iPhone, iPad, and desktop). I love how light it is, the length of the battery life, and the available ports.

I'm very happy with my purchase. Everything I needed is on the MacBook Air. Fairly easy to learn, extremely fast, light and good for carrying around. When the time comes, I'll surely buy another.

MacBooks are easy to learn and difficult to break. My dad's Pc was so full of viruses that it was rendered completely unusable. I talked him into a MacBook and once he adjusted to it, I have never seen a happier 93 year old man. He has had no trouble learning how to operate it and is simply amazed at the speed and lack of those irritating pop ups.

The gold standard for ultrabooks, if outdated

The Air is a solid ultrabook. To read the spec sheet, though, you'd think you're not getting a very good deal, and in some ways, you're right. If you upgrade the Air significantly beyond the base configuration (13", 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD), you're paying as much as you'd expect to pay for the Retina MacBook Pro, which is only a little heavier and many times more powerful. However, the Air base configuration hits a certain sweet spot--excellent portability, tremendous battery life, relatively snappy performance (for casual or non-gaming use), awesomely fast 802.11ac WiFi, and nearly instant-on resume. I would recommend the Air to any potential Apple converts; the build quality is excellent and though the specs read low when compared side-by-side with similarly priced Windows computers--a typical criticism of Apple in general--the actual performance of the Air belies those numbers, probably due in no small part to the flash storage, which is lightning-quick. I have to dock a star for the screen; it's a fairly low resolution (1440x900 in the 13" configuration) and once you've used a Retina display, the "jaggies" on the Air's screen are pretty noticeable. I would advise new buyers to watch for sales on the Air, few though they may be, since it will probably be replaced with something using a Retina display sometime soon.

I am in love with my new laptop. So much that I bought two lol! It's pure perfection. It loads up fast, it's easy to use. I can connect it to my Apple TV, cell phone, and iPad. its a little heavy and thick (compared to an air), but I don't mind it. I wanted the CD/DVD option. My niece has DVDs I've given her over the years and enjoys getting it from her shelf and putting it in. Call it old fashion, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. In my opinion, if you're investing in a good quality laptop it better come with everything.

MacBook Air is easy to configure and get running in minutes - didn't have to wait to charge battery first it was charged enough to turn it on and plug in charger. the touchpad gestures were really easy as I was already used to iPad ( only new gesture was right click) - apps all worked the same - it was easy migrating from old XP laptop to Mac OS. I really liked the speed of the boot process as it had a solid state disk drive that made it run a lot faster than the old laptop. Only tradeoff for the really thin and lightweight laptop is you need to buy an external CD/DVD drive as one is not internally available which saves a bunch a weight and thickness.

Love this laptop and it is well worth the purchase. I had a windows computer before this and it does not compare to the ease of the Mac. I love how it easily syncs with my phone and how with one simple click it works in combination with my Apple tv. I live by Apple products and love how they are long lasting and are always coming up with new ideas. I use my laptop simply for web browsing and I am currently writing a book. It is very light and easy to tote around when needed. I do not leave my house without my MacBook.

Love this slender, lightweight laptop. I think my iPad in its case weighs more. Fast and efficient and the battery lasts a really long time. (If you use chrome the battery drains faster)

Sick of trying to figure out Windows 8 I gave up. I have moved onto Apple. I must say this computer is different, if you are used to Windows or Microsoft, but you can learn quickly. I like the sleekness of the laptop itself. It is easy to carry with me everywhere. Not only that but the programs are easy to figure out and use. Another plus is the apps you can download. Facetime and Messaging are great tools to have and work really well. The battery lasts forever without having to be plugged in. Even if you use it hard the battery maintains. Overall I'm happy with this computer and recommend it for anyone who is sick and tired of Windows.
