    Over the years I've purchased many Apple products and although they are very expensive, Apple does not fool around with the hardware. You get a darn good processor, darn good memory, darn good HDD, and very well engineered and dense internals to save space and make their machines thinner and smaller in all directions. If you want to drink the Kool-Aid and join the Apple cult, nobody can really blame you.

    My daughter loves her mac air. We purchased the small memory to get her started as it is her 1st mac. But realized she just might need more space. Other than that its great for a college student to carry around in her backpack. She loves the features. So far so good
