Definitely has taken me some getting used to, as it replaces a 6+ year old desktop, but I love how light and portable the Envy is! The backlit keys are a plus in low-light areas, and I really like the seamless touchpad. The processor is very fast, compared to my ancient desktop, at least! The touchscreen is convenient, although I prefer using a wireless mouse to keep the finger smudges to a minimum. The only downside I've noticed, so far, is that the fingerprint sign-in almost always takes several tries before recognizing me - no matter how carefully I swipe my digit. Not a huge deal, just a bit frustrating if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, so far, so good! I am very happy with my new laptop.

This is my second macbook pro and i could not be more pleased! I introduced myself to Apple when my (other brands) and many there were all FAILED ON ME and I'm talking exploding batteries, poor customer service, viruses, slow speeds and weak memory and the like galore! Enough was enough time to find something I could trust and something I could believe in. 8 years later and many inter-connected devices such as ipod, apple tv, iphone, ipads, etc, have never let me down and if there is a hiccup; they were fixed immediately without having the "same problem" again. Overall, you will not be disappointed the computer can handle multitasking like you wouldn't believe, holds many photos and videos, still runs programs quickly and efficiently, has many security features that are easy to set up! And most of all it looks incredible!

So happy with this purchase. Lightweight, sleek styling and fast processor. I bought this when my pc laptop was on the brink and am so glad I went back to an Apple product. A little bit of learning the different ways the apple screen and keyboard work from a pc as I have been using a pc for many years, but nothing too major and overall, I am so glad I made the switch.

Love my new Macbook Air! It's so lightweight it's practical to bring everywhere, and what i love the most aside from it's user friendliness is that the battery last like 10 HRS which for me as a previous PC use was unheard of! It was a bigger purchase that I was hesitant to make but now that i'm in grad school, I actually wish I'd went ahead & bought it 1st semester.

Not a 100 percent devoted Apple-everything-at-all-times type of person, but this laptop is awesome. If you need something to keep in your backpack all day, this is the one. Battery life is excellent, performance is good. First device I owned with MagSafe plug; should be industry standard.

This was a great steal with student discount. Best buy has always been my favorite electronics store. MacBook Air has good battery life, really light to carry around and one of the best Apple products

I like the size, speed, weight and capability of my new Apple laptop.

It is not a PC. PC has more functions. So if not comparing apples to oranges it is a good machine, clear screen, has its own version of office and has free and third party paid apps that make it function so can do more things like a PC. It is good for graphics. It is good for giving presentations. It is good to link ot a iphone. What every I can do I can do significantly faster on a PC, but this is visually appealing on the Apple Air. I put free and paid third party software on it. I still use my PC significantly more because I can do things faster and more efficiently. For those who are not computer literate the apple may be an enjoyable fun experience. Compared to business apps and speed and efficiency the Apple will not at this point in time be able to fully compete. It is what it is. I used an Apple for over 10 years for word processing and then switched to the PC for business apps. I used the PC for 20 years. My daughter also uses a PC and a Apple as I taught her and gave her both to use. For her office they issue a PC and for home she has two in one touch screen 11 inch PC and the Apple Mac Air I bought her. She has an iphone so its a good link. Both PC and Apple are usable. For word processing, sending pictures, giving powerpoint presentations, and graphics the Apple is really nice to use. So I am user efficient in both Apple and PC. This review is not biased as I am both a Apple user first, then PC user, then PC and Apple user both. So depending upon your needs and skills both have advantages and disadvantages. If you need a PC buy a Toshiba brand they are good. HP on PC overheats and several in the office have burned out. Over the years almost all the HP PCs have burned out because of a defect in the cooling system which they have not fixed and will not cover when you send it in for warranty repairs. They charge $200 to fix the cooling unit on HP even if it is under warranty. Best Wishes, Steven

Great product easy to use and setup lightweight really speak design

I needed a laptop for college, and I read everywhere that the Macbook Air was the best laptop for me. It is lightweight, so it does not add much weight to my backpack. The laptop has a nice look, and even nicer programs. It runs smooth--I have not had a single problem. The shipping was quick, and it was packaged nicely. I definitely will not regret this buy.
