Best laptop I've ever purchased. Fast, reliable, lightweight.

I Switched over to Apple computers nearly 3 years ago after constant problems with PC's and haven't looked back (husband 8 years ago). Not dealing with virus/malware software subscription, spam and that impending 3 year crash that PC's have is great! We have 3 Macbook Pro's (1.5, 3 & 8 years old) and now the Air. We purchased the Air for my 1st year college student. The flash memory makes this laptop lightening quick at startup. Applications run very quickly and its minimal weight and thickness makes it easy to transport from class to class (highly recommend a sleeve to put it in). I know the hard drive is lacking in capacity for the times, but Jump Drives and Externals are super cheap when the time comes to purge over some documents and pictures to free up space. Apple care is wonderful to have to help with program issues, trying to find something or the general how does this work & how do I do this. It's also great for those converting to Apple that have the million questions like I had. Another great thing about this laptop is that it is just a few clicks at initial startup for a seamless data transfer with the 8 year old apple and mirrored her current documents - hassle free! Highly Recommend!

Pros: * Battery life is awesome * Really light * Charging is really fast *Travel friendly Cons: * I didn't like the charging socket though. While charging , if you need to move the laptop, sometimes it got disconnected from charging port. I understood that they tried to make it as grab and go. But personally I prefer the pinned charging port.

I'm not a apple fanboy. I like to buy the best product on the market no matter what the company. The macbook air is the best laptop out there for my uses. I have to carry it around everywhere and the low weight is a huge plus. The battery life is incredible. Best of any laptop at this weight. The track pad makes web surfing a great experience.

Pros: * Lightweight * Battery life is excellent * Awesome screen Cons: * Didn't like the magnetic charging port though. I personally like the pinned one. * Power button is too sensitive. Sometimes while cleaning, the laptop turned on with a little touch of the cleaning cloth. But overall it's a best travel friendly laptop. I really love it.

Easy to use and fast. The design is thin and easy to carry.

Very thin and light; battery last all day; beautiful machine.

I purchased this for my wife who is a teacher. The main reason was the battery life and booting speeds. I would say it just simply works, and doesn't need to be plugged into the wall all day. A big jump form an older machine with 2 hour run time and not portable at all. She will now take it with her daily because it is so portable and tough.

this was my first experience with an Apple laptop. I am absolutely satisfied so far. It boots fast, long lasting battery and it doesn't get hot as all my previous laptops. Great product!

This is my first mac. i have previously had six dell pc's and have replaced many hard drive. What caught my eye was the solid state and no hard drive. This computer is so fast and super comfortable to use. I highly recommend this to everyone.I will never own a PC again.

After my Surface Pro 3 died on me within 6 months of purchase (and Microsoft denied publishing my honest review on their website), I decided that an Apple laptop would be much more reliable for my work. As a PC user for 20 years, I was a little scared to switch to Mac, but since I've already gotten some familiarization with other Apple products, it made the transition a lot smoother. I still have to look up shortcuts and how to do certain things, but I'm learning. The laptop itself is very thin and beautiful, and so far no major issues. I am sure as a company, Apple would be able to provide much better customer support than Microsoft, so I feel more confident using this for work. I installed Microsoft office for Mac and there were some kinks initially with Outlook crashing every day, but recently there was a software update that seemed to solve the problem completely. I was debating between this laptop and the new retina 12". I really loved the 12" but for practical and economic purposes, the 13" air fits what I need. I decided to purchase from Best Buy because they are $50 cheaper than the Apple Store. Bottom line: I trust Apple over all other laptop/tablet companies out there.

What a great little computer! I've owned PC desktops or laptops forever. I wouldn't have even considered a MAC until about a month ago, when I had an absolutely miserable experience with a new, higher end PC laptop with Windows 10. Prior to then, I always thought of Apple as "The Darkside". This MacBook Air is wonderful. It's simpler to use, and weighs practically nothing, which is very important to me, because I have a disability. The battery life, up to 9 hours, is as advertised. I used it unplugged for over 6 hours, and the battery was still at 35%. I prefer Google Chrome to Safari as my browser, at least so far. The start-up time for the Mac is far less than any for PC I've owned. The only drawback is due to all the Microsoft Office documents I have generated over the years. I might have to invest in some level of Office program to open and edit work which for now, is just taking up space on my hard drive.

Easy to use, great speed, and super light! Love this laptop

I am so happy with my new 13" MacBook Air! It is light but powerful. I look forward to using this for everything. The day of the desktop is long gone. I purchased at the Ann Arbor, MI store on my vacation and got the 13 for the same price as the 11. I also paid 3% less in sales tax than AZ. The Apple expert in Ann Arbor was most helpful.

I am in love. This is the best purchase I've ever made. Upgrading to Mac from PC several years ago was a good choice. Moving from the Macbook Pro to the Air was an even better choice. The SSD lets me open up and go. No waiting. No battery draining. No heating up on my lap. Silent. It's just the perfect computer for normal, everyday use.
