You can't go wrong with the Apple Mac-book Air for a complete laptop computer. We bought one for our daughter that began college this summer and it has thus far proven to be a very smart choice. Her new school is also an advocate of Mac systems as they just recently upgraded all of their college campus computers to 27" Apple desktop workstations. Thus, her file and data transfers as she works on campus with her studies will cross platform seamlessly with all of the on-campus technologies. A significant bonus is that she doesn't have to be concerned about viruses with the Apple as she has experienced with PC platforms in the past.

Family members recommended product and very helpful in getting started with it. Previously had older, heavier lap top. This Mac Book light, fast, perfect for a Senior Citizen.

Used to have a Lenovo and was an avid Windows fan. Received this laptop as a birthday present. Now that I've had it for about a month I can comment on some things. If you're going from Windows to Mac, the OS switch isn't going to be as terrible as you think. It is relatively easy to get used to operating(took less than a week). Biggest Pro: Speed (at least in comparison to previous laptops). Greatest Annoyance: Reverse scrolling, by this I mean you need to scroll up to go down and scroll down to go up (this can be taken care of however in preferences). Overall, I would say that this an awesome laptop for basic student needs.

An impulse buy that I do not regret. Perfect for a college student, like me. Fits perfectly in my backpack, super lightweight, and easy to maneuver. Love it!

I bought this laptop on sale and really have enjoyed it. The weight and battery life make this a breeze to travel with and it was $150 less than buting it directly from Apple.

Use this laptop at both home and on the road for general computing. Small and lightweight but does all the basic computer tasks I ask of it without problem.

Computer works as expected. It is very light and portable, only downside is the limited memory but that can be fixed by using an external storage drive. Over all a great buy.

This is so light! Runs a little hard for high memory programs but great for typical web browsing, email, word processing, etc. good buy especially if you can get it on sale.

This is my first Mac Book Air and it's a great investment! It has excellent battery life, strong overall performance, blazing flash storage and a soft comfortable keyboard.

I regularly use a MacPro 15" for my work and wanted a Mac for personal use. The machine is light, fast, and has great battery life unlike other laptops I own. The only complaint I have so far is the smell of hot circuitry when in use but it seems to be dissipating the more I use it.
