Was looking to buy a computer for my soon-to-be middle school daughter for homework. Didn't need anything too fancy, just something that could write reports, research stuff on the web, etc. Thought about a non Apple computer to save money, but the cheaper products felt cheap and I wanted something that felt sturdy. The new MacBook and the MacBook Pros were nice but much more expensive and I didn't think we needed their features. I was little hesitant about the non Retina display, but even side-by-side to my eyes, there was not enough of a difference to justify to price difference. Best Buy was also running a $200 discount on this model and that sealed it for me. No regrets!

I bought this for my wife for her photography hobby. It has more than enough power and speed to run Photoshop with no problems whil simultaneously running other apps. We are very happy with this Mac. We own an iMac, several iPhones, several iPads, and AppleTV, and we feel the MacBook is definitely in line with our expectations of Mac quality and performance. We also love the way it seamlessly integrates with our other Mac hardware.

the product is awesome apple knows there product would recommend this to anyone purchase this product is an investment rather than throwing your money away in the trash on something cheaper these products do go on sale usually around $899 or less if your a student get this deal with a $100 off which you would pay less than $799 for a $1000 computer

wanted a reliable laptop that would integrate with my phone and tablet. The laptop was an easy set up and the interface is simple out of the box. The reason for just 4 stars is because I feel like I can crush the laptop with just gripping it.

The Macbook Air is our 8th Apple product purchased for our household. I have to first start with the excellent, patient, informed service I received in the store at the time of purchase. Every question was answered with clarity and confidence. Now, the Macbook - awesome machine. It was purchased to replace an old Dell windows based desktop - and it is impressive. Ease of use, functionality across all devices. I highly recommend it!

Very durable and easy to carry around campus,perfect size screen yet not to big to fit in a backpack

Primarily a business machine for me. I really like how lightweight this laptop is compared to some other laptops that I've had for work. This is not a desktop replacement as it has no native docking capabilities, but I've found some workarounds that work for me. I've coupled it with Microsoft Office for Mac and have found the best of both worlds with minimal sacrifice on the functionalities found on Microsoft Office for Windows.

I have been using my work laptop for quite a while, since my previous MacBook Pro had been retired. This was a present to myself, and boy had I forgotten how much easier it is to do things on a Mac. I love pages and numbers and find them significantly easier to use than their Microsoft counterpoints. Best part is that I can complete the work on this laptop, and still be able to open and use my work laptop if necessary. Awesome.

I bought the Apple MacBook Air a little over a month ago, and I haven't regretted it one bit. It's a great all-around machine: perfect for email, web browsing, word processing, light photo editing, and streaming HD video and high quality music. The speakers aren't great (no laptop speakers are), but they are louder than expected. The screen is bright and vivid, but I wish Apple would upgrade the Air line to the Retina displays found on the other MacBooks. Those minor issues aside, I love my MacBook Air and recommend it to anyone needing a very portable machine with all-day battery life. I see it working especially well for students and traveling professionals.

My other laptop was old and my grandson talked me into getting this one. I am very pleased to say that this is the best laptop purchase I have ever made. It's very easy to use and I never have any issues with it. Coming from Windows I thought it would be a very hard transition but it was very easy to get used to. I highly recommend this product.
