Love the MBAir. I bought for my daughter for school and ended up keeping it for myself. I'll have to get her one for Christmas. I generally tote a 17" MBP but I have really left it sitting like a desktop. The MBAir is super light, it barely registers in my briefcase. With the 4Gb Ram and 256 SSD it has been a perfect portable version of my work laptop. I have carefully used my memory by expanding with the SD slot for photos or some carry documents of large size. It is superfast (I was surprised with the wake from sleep time and boot time) and has very little in the way of hang times even with multiple windows open and running. I definitely suggest it if you are not a real power user. I have even run Starcraft and Shogun 2 without any delays in startup or gameplay (very surprised).

After 30+ years on PCs, I finally made the switch to a Mac. It was so much easier than I expected. And the quality of the product is amazing. I love that it is instantly available when ever I need it (the PC took forever to start up or wake up) and it is so easy to use. Plus it integrates so well with my ipad and iphone. Very pleased!

I really enjoy my new MacBook Air. That is reliable and easy to use. All I need is Microsoft word to actually be truly satisfied within these few years of college life

Most college campuses will tell you that they are set up for both PC and MAC users but the fact is that the good majority of kids on campus own MACs and do so for a reason-MAC is super easy and reliable. Bought our first college student a DELL and within 6 months the hard drive crashed, took us another six months of fighting with Dell and 3 techs who rebuilt the whole computer before they finally sent us a new one. In the meantime, as our student could not be without a computer we bought a MAC and she has not had one issue in the next 2 years. So, no brainer when our 2nd went to college. Oldest owns a Mac Book Pro. youngest the Mac Air. Loves the lightweight feature and has not once needed the DVD player as so much stuff is downloadable.

I was in the market for a macbook and was deciding between a macbook air and a macbook pro. I ended up going with the air not only because it was cheaper but because i can easily travel with the air and it wont take much real estate. I would definitely look into those expandable sd cards if you are looking for more storage.

Ok for the money / power / simplicity / long battery life / durable / light - this is the BEST laptop you can buy. I am a firm believer of the MacBook Air - I think the best laptop made. We have 4 and love them.

Great product! No problems what-so-ever! Only hiccup is that it didn't come pre-installed with Yosemite. Upgraded myself with no problems. Blazing fast with flash memory hard-drive.. Can't think of any reasons not to buy if you're in the market.. Super light and super thin.. my iPhone is almost thicker than this thing.

Only downside was that it did 't have the latest operating system already installed even though it had been out for a few months. Much faster than my MacBook pro.

I've had PCs and laptops in previous years and always had problems. My MacBook Air has been the best investment I've made in my college years. I will never go back to owning a PC. I recommend buying this item, even if you have to finance it. I was lucky enough to save and purchase at a great price. Thanks BB!

This is a great computer. It is light and powerful. Plus, it is very easy to use. I would recommend it to any user -- especially people on the move like college students and traveling business people.

Works great it's fast lightweight, and the battery lasts like forever, i usually work with illustrator, photoshop and painter listening to music on my iTunes library and i haven't run out of battery.

Gotta love a Mac. Hard working and user friendly. No more pop ups or virus worries either. Woo hoo

bought this for my daughter who is starting college in the fall. She likes the lightweight, fast bootup, and loads of features. Since she didn't need to utilize video or heavy graphics, we opted for this model instead of the MacBook pro.
