First apple computer, compact & light weight, good battery life, easy to use

I was very impressed with the macbook air 13". It has everything needed for school. This model includes pages and all the mac office products. You don't even need to buy Microsoft Office anymore. Perfect size/weight balance; not too heavy and not too small of a screen. LONG battery life. It lasts more than a full day of constant use in graduate school (8+ hours in class).

I also own a MacBook Pro with Retina, so the image quality difference is striking. If you want the best picture possible, go big. But if lightweight and compact is your primary concern, go Air. Also, the 11" Air is way too small, and you'd be better off with an iPad in that case (better image too).

great laptop there is no comparison to last Microsoft pc. There was a little learning curve however I am very impressed with my Mac book air.

Very pleased with this purchase. Have always had a MacBook Pro but decided I needed something much more portable for taking to and from work.

Our oldest daughter loves her MacBook Air so much, that we bought a 2nd one for our youngest. It is a great laptop, with long battery life.

I was a bit skeptical of these. Windows 8 pushed me to take the plunge. Coming from PC based laptops, I was nervous about the usability and different operating system. It took a little time to get used to it but it wasn't too difficult as I was an iPhone/iPad user. Software included with the OS mimics all of the expensive MS Office programs. For all but the most complicated of spreadsheets/documents, this works great! It is much easier to use when you take out 50 bajillion functions you will never use. The only complaint is that the screen doesn't seem as sharp as my iPad. Maybe I just need to see an optometrist.... If Windows 8 has you singing a sad song and you can't stomach another disastrous OS from Microsoft, give this a try. Gamers and super-power users need not apply. There are other more powerful options available but this works for 99% of the world. I haven't found myself drinking the Kool-Aid at any Apple cult meetings yet but I can see why so many have abandoned the PC.

lightweight, fast. Best Buy coupon helped with price. overall, very good for college student to take to class, connects easily to college WiFi without problems. Got it for student due to good long term reliability - don't want to get another computer in a few years due to wear and tear.

This is one of those things that you wonder if it's really worth the money to buy or go with the "generic" brand. I'd say you really do get your bang for your buck, it has all the programs I needed and is easy to use. I love the slim style and light weight of this computer. I recommended this to any college student, it will definitely last you through college.

Lightweight and very easy to use. Portable for around the house or on the go. Still learning how to use a Mac, but overall great product.

I rec'd the mac as a gift but really wanted a Surface Pro, but I'm glad I didn't get the Pro and love my mac! It's easy and fun to use!
