Not a great selection of iPhone 6 plus cases and even fewer folios. I wish there were more options.

I just bought this Mac Book Air and its Awesome. It is very fast and easy to use. It boots up as quick as an iPad and if you use Apple products it easily integrates with them. I am very impressed so far this was definitely a smart purchase. I have always used Windows PC's and this is my first real experience using a Mac and its been very easy to learn.

    Excellent Ultrabook/MacBook

The newer/latest MacBook Air does exactly what it's suppose to do. It is really light, fast, and is pure quality. The MacBook Air doesn't feel cheap in your hands and will not disappoint. The battery life is true to it's word, and the weight of the MacBook Air makes it convenient for travel and portability purposes. I wished that the MacBook Air would have more hard drive memory. I currently have a 2012 MacBook Pro, so I used that for storage purposes. The keyboard and trackpad are really nice. If you're looking for a high resolution screen, this is NOT the one to buy. The resolution on this screen is nice, but not retina though. I sync all my photos and videos to my MacBook Air so I can display them on a bigger screen using iPhoto (which is included). I know that price used to be an issue with Apple products, but the price drop that Apple enforced, along with Best Buy's sale price definitely helps the wallet.

    Good choice

We hemmed and hawed between the MacBook Pro (Intel Core i5 - 13.3" Display, 4GB Memory - 500GB hard drive) and Air (13.3" Display - Intel Core i5, 4GB Memory - 256GB Flash Storage) for our two teenage girls. Both went on/off sale before Christmas but we were torn between longer battery life with the Air and more workhorse with the Pro, not being sure if flash v hard drive should be of any major concern. Having never had Apple computers, we were concerned about being able to upgrade memory.... both girls were given the option of the new Lenovo Yoga Pro through their school, but we wanted a laptop to take them all the way through high school into college. By the time we decided neither was discounted as much as we could have purchased them for earlier if we'd made our minds up sooner (that's a lot of money to buy two Apple laptops!) but we ended up with the Air for both girls, opting for longer battery life and a less weighty machine. The girls were happy but I'm not 100% sure we made the right choice. It all depends on what you're going to use the laptop for and with 3 more years of high school to go, who knows? So far the Air is everything everyone said it would be.

I've been using my Macbook Air for a year now. My wife actually made the purchase and was using it for about 6 months for work but gave up trying to learn the OS and windows conversion. She works deeply in windows, word and outlook and it wasn't working out for her. She installed parallels software and could not transfer easily from one format to the other, lost files, had to back out....basically became frustrated and bought a Lenovo Yoga. My old laptop was a Toshiba R705 that was three years old and worked great. It took me at least two months to feel that I was truly understanding the OS of the Macbook. My first task was to transfer files from USB. Upon insertion of the USB I could not find it or files and spent loads of time just figuring that out. I've used the Macbook as my primary computer since. I operate CAD and office products. Other than the initial learning curve, I have not found the differences between Windows to Mac to be a problem for me. The Macbook is leaps and bounds ahead of the Toshiba in build quality. I love how it is a super rare event to ever hear the internal fan. Under most tasks you will not hear it running. Only when running games, (Call of Duty) have I ever heard the fan. Knowing what I know now, I don't know if I would opt for the Pro version or if I would buy the same machine again. I like the greater speed and options of the Pro but I also like the thinness and lightness of the Air. So far this has been a great computer. We'll see how it does long term.

Just can't beat a Macbook Air

Lightweight, fast processor speed, large hard drive. sleek look--all of these are features which were important to me. I travel a lot as a professor, and wanted something that was powerful enough to handle my work, but lightweight enough to not weigh me down. This is the perfect combination of those factors.

I absolutely love my Mac! I am a college student and this macbook air feels like carrying a feather compared to my old PC. The MacBook Air is lightning fast and the battery life is awesome! Only downfall is not having the CD drive, however you can buy an external CD drive which works for me! Definitely love this! This is my first one and i am never going back to a PC!

I returned a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and got this instead. The battery was just something that I just had to have. Being my first Mac product, the ability to easily dual boot Windows just made feel even more comfortable purchasing this since you can still run things like Windows Steam games and applications that actually run better on the windows OS than Mac. The battery life while using WIndows (I used 8.1) is still very good, in fact better than most ultrabooks these days (I got between 6-8 with moderate usage but I've heard some people achieve higher). The only complaint that I have is that there will be no RAM upgrades so you're stuck with 4GB if you purchase this model. You can preconfigure a Mac with more at the Apple website but it just costs more for the unit overal and it costs about $100 just for 8GB. I'm pretty happy with this choice after hearing that this is a reliable product and I hope it stays that way for many years.

I was on the fence about getting a MacBook Air or the Pro, I ended up going with the Air and I am so happy that I did. It is super light weight. I went from using a Windows based computer to a Mac and thought it might be a difficult transition, but so far it has been pretty easy and if I ever have trouble there is a plethora of info on the internet. I love it!

I initially bought the Macbook Air 8/256 for my wife's 60th birthday. Yes, she's absolutely worth it! She fell in love with it until she got Word installed from her office and found that all the title and menu text was painfully small and unreadable. We tried everything to make it bigger. While some things helped, such as gesture and keyboard zoom, nothing was really acceptable for her. I took the Air back to BestBuy and returned it without any trouble. Which is why, after some more research focusing on readability, we came back to look at the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and the Macbook Pro with Retina display. We bought the Macbook Pro, had a tiny amount of training about how to adjust the display to get better font and icon size, and my wife is having a much better time now. The keyboard and the touch pad are amazing. The weight is delightfully light. The battery life? Full day w/o a problem. I am not an Apple fanboy. I've never bought an Apple for myself. However, the Macbooks are great laptops for people who just want to use computers.
