I was nervous buying a mac so quickly before starting school again. I previously purchased two laptops (an HP and a Lenovo), but I returned them both due to updates that destroyed their graphic cards! I was DONE with Windows 100%. Having to learn a new OS was much easier than I imagined. Love scrolling on the tracker pad. Battery is great. Comes with Pages which is similar to Microsoft Office, which you have to buy with Windows.

I had a Macbook Pro for approximately 10 years until it was no longer cost effective to repair and I was upset to let it go. After some research and a great student discount, I decided to try the MacBook Air and have not been disappointed! It's lightweight and perfect for traveling to conferences and presenting research on-the-go. I haven't had to give up any affordances of my previous laptop with this one.

I’ve been a lifelong apple product user. I bsolitely love this laptop. Graphics are good and sound is amazing. I’m still not use to the fact that it doesn’t have a CD/DVD port.
