As a lifelong PC user, purchasing a Mac was slightly intimidating. However, already having an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, I figured I should complete the Apple ecosystem when looking for something to replace my PC laptop. Within the first 10-15 minutes of using my new MacBook Air, I knew I had made the right decision. As a college student (education major), the portability and practicality of this laptop will be highly beneficial. After a month of use, my only regret is I wish I had purchased a Mac sooner.

The Apple MacBook Air is all its worked up to be. Light weight and long battery life. Highly recommended for anyone.

Apple is a little behind the times by not offering a touch screen. However, irrespective of that, the apple performs well and is somewhat easy to use as it can perform the same functions as a Microsoft but with key control. Speed is fine but am not a fan of Apple.

Love this computer. Does everything I need it to. SO much better than my old laptop. slim and sleek and so easy to tote around.

I picked this up on Black Friday when it was on sale. I opted for this one over the 2018 version first because of the price and second because I didn’t feel most of the new features in the new one were worth paying $400 more for. I was able to get this 2017 Air for a much better price and it fulfilled my needs perfectly. I’m coming from a 2010 Mabook (the last of the plastic white body) so I didn’t need the “latest and greatest” just something that would run better especially video editing. I mainly use it for video editing on Final Cut Pro which this machine can do. I edit 4K and 1080p video and I also do some light Photoshop work. Battery life is great. Keyboard is better than the newer one in my opinion or maybe I’m just more used to it. The only downside is that it does get a little hotter than I would like when editing on FCPX which is the reason for minus 1 star. Other than that it is a great overall machine. I am very happy with this purchase.
