Overall this is a great laptop if you are looking to get a Macbook (this is the cheapest option). However from my research I would suggest you get the Air with the M1 chip as it is better in almost every aspect. The chip does make a difference. Regardless, my Intel Macbook works as expected for a low end model. I use it for browsing, editing documents, Zoom, etc. One thing to note, the Intel Macbook Air models do not support the virtual backgrounds for Zoom, only the M1 chip models.

I'm retired now and don't need a "heavy duty" computer. This Mac does everything I want, and it was an easy transition from the setup on my 2013 MacBook Pro.

Smooth, sleek and easy to use keyboard/laptop in general. Annoying that you have to buy a usb add on, but still worth the price point. Holds a charge well.
