This Mac book is so important to me I would love it

By Apple deciding to eliminate USB port, they made this product worthless to me. I can no longer plug my Ethernet cable in for Zoom classes, but it’s also made my separate flash drive and earbud charger obsolete. Plus it’s we am Camera is a lot less clear than my 2017 model, which Best But couldn’t fix. When Apple finally reopened my touchpad was fixed in 3 min. In the meantime, I wish I had saved a lot of money and bought a Chrombook.

I bought my MacBook but the delivery service is pretty bad. They tell you they will delivery the item the next day and it took 3 days to get home. I do not mind to wait for it but why really upset me is they tell you they will delivery the next day what is not true. So do not expect your item to come on the day they tell you.

4 years later, never used and the thing won’t even turn on. garbage; will never buy another Apple product

Best Buy wickedly sold this device to me that never worked. They refused to do the right thing and refund me. Buyer beware.

Garbage product. I got one and in 3 days the left side of the screen had a 2 inch black vertical line, with some color lines going down. I returned it with a fight with apple, and they sent me another one. five months later something started happening to the 2nd one. Took it for repairs and they said there is crack from the inside that's not visible from the outside. They wanted $550.00 or so to repair it. My other Mac books from 2015 are still working fine, but a brand new one has these consistent issues.

Already broke as soon as warranty expired and will cost $500 to fix!

My recommendation is to be careful! I bought this item 5/1/2020 and it worked great for me......until last month. It suddenly would not turn on, and the farthest I was able to get it was with the fan running really fast but the screen still black. It was brought to the Apple store and the guy in the store said that there is definitely something wrong with it, and it got shipped out to get fixed. Apple STILL has the computer, and now they are saying that nothing is wrong with it! I saw it wasn’t turning on, my parents saw it wasn’t turning on, the Apple store guy even saw it! I understand that everyone is trying their best to try and find the issue, but my main frustration lies with the product itself. Like I said it worked fantastic until it broke! I am a college student and because of the pandemic all of my assignments are online. I am thankful that I go to a school that is still open for the time being and I can use the library. I can’t imagine what would happen if we were full remote! This is why I wanted to write this review. There is a chance that the laptop will work great, like when I had it in the beginning. But there is also a chance that it could break and you will still be waiting for it after a month. Choose carefully!

This was my first Macbook purchase. I have used an iphone for years & decided to try their laptops with such great reviews. I purchased this i3 considering I just needed it for daily use. THIS WAS THE SLOWEST LAPTOP I HAVE EVER BEEN ON. I had nothing else pulled up beside the Bestbuy website looking at a photo of another laptop & I got "This website is using a large amount of energy. Try closing this page for improved responsiveness of your mac." This happened multiple times with multiple different websites & I hardly had anything even pulled up on my computer. Also, as I typed...it was extremely delayed. I returned it immediately & the girl at best buy even said "Wow....I see what you're talking about how slow this is." Not a fan. I'll stick with their phones.

Screen sucks it scratches way too easy i have taken out of case hand ful of times just to notice scratches all overbit

As a dad, 60 years young, I have purchased multiple MAC books for my kids going through college because they believe that is what they need to succeed. Now both have graduated both say what a waste of money buying a MAC book is!. They do not last longer than 3 years, the latest AIR lasted 2 years and the screen froze, 800 bucks to fix!. Buy a Chromebook, they last longer, are cheaper and do the same job! Honestly!

Forced to buy separate and VERY expensive adapters just to use SD cards or USB devices.

I was excited to get my new MacBook Air.I ordered mine online since all stores were out of stock. I was very disappointed when I tried setting it up. The MacBook Air was extremely slow and would not charge over 1% so it had to stay connected to the charger or it would die. I returned it of course and I had to spend $200 more for the newer version the M1. I guess I was unlucky.

Unit has barely been used, and now at just past warranty period, the track pad is failing. Clicks things without being clicked. Ignores some things that are clicked. The entire key board has always been garbage compared to older mac 2011 keyboard. They took away mag safe and have ONLY two USB C connectors. Apple is going backward.
