Practically perfect in every way
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for school after previously owning a 2015 model, and I could not be halted with the upgrade. It’s even faster, even more reliable, and the retina screen is the best upgrade, not to mention Touch ID is just perfect. My only complaint, literally, is that the new USB-C charging cord doesn’t have a charging indicator. I miss the orange and green lights, but it really is a minor complaint, all in all.

Overall it'll do what you want..
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So much like everything it has it's good and bad things. All reviews I've read on this laptop are all 5 stars saying how great but no REAL reasons.. I do think it's a great laptop.I've only had it for about a week but does what I need. Here are a few goods and bads about it. My first bad important thing is the battery, for the money, to ME it's not great. It was at 100% at 9AM and around 3:30PM (that SAME day) it was at 5% warning me to please charge. Understanding, I'm working from home (due to the virus which I work in an office environment) I'm not working with crazy programs but sure, I've got a few things going at once. Maybe MY expectations were higher especially with it being the price and make/model it is I expected more. In all.. yes it works, does it well but be sure to have your charging cord with it which I'll add is quite long for Apple - in my opinion. :) Be aware this model only comes with 1 headphone port (which isn't flat like the new iPhones are coming..?..and 2 thunderbolt ports 1 of which is your plug in to charge your computer.., myself I bought a multi adapter that gives me extra ports. From my research, MOST computers seem to be coming this way even if it's regular USB either way - something to take note of. No disc drive either which for most people I'd imagine that's fine again, a lot don't seem to come with this anymore. Touch ID - This feature is a blessing and a curse LOL So everything now a days seems to have some sort of save password feature so this isn't odd and once everything is set up for normal use, LIFE SAVER! However! I've found I still need to keep and updated and handy list of information because everything is saved.. when you need to manually log in (which it still allows you to use it however YOU see fit) I'm not going through hoops to reset or find my info to actually log in. I like when you open the computer it turns on and boots up fast. Couple mins and I'm ready to work! The keys feels nice and it's backlit. So yes.. overall, it WILL do what you want. Everything has it's good and bad features. I'd still recommend it.

Great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t sure about this purchase and thought I made a mistake and should of gotten the newest model that came out in December, but glad I didn’t. This MacBook is great. I find the speed to be fast, and some complain about the fan noise but haven’t had any issues with it. Also the battery life is great. I am still learning how to use it, but for my first MacBook coming from a P.C, I am happy with it.

Great Computer for Everyday Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple computer's by far are the best in the market for those who are already within the Apple ecosystem, however even for those who don't have many other Apple products or use many Apple services, the MacBook Air is still a really good laptop for those looking to do things such as work related things such as making presentations, working on docs, doing school work, etc. it can handle light photo editing and video editing, however the fan will go off which is pretty loud at times. If you are considering something for editing photos and videos and doing work that is more on the heavy-duty spectrum, I would recommend either taking a look at an intel-based MacBook Pro, or try checking out Apple's brand new M1 based MacBook's, which are significantly faster than this Intel-based laptop, due to the fact that M1 is a chip developed by Apple themselves, and if ultimately gives them better control over performance due to the fact Apple of course makes their own software, MacOS. The speakers on this unit are really good and loud, I was surprised, for laptop speakers they are pretty good because they have a really nice stereo sound to them, the bass is decent. As for the display, it is pretty average, nothing too special, it is colorful but blacks could be deeper, feels a little washed out. Overall, a good laptop for the average consumer, however if you are looking for something high-end check out something like the intel-based MacBook Pro, or Apple's M1 MacBook Air or Pro

Very lightweight, works great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new MacBook Air! It's so light and easy to carry around and works super-fast. Of course I don't like the fact that it doesn't have USB ports anymore and you have to buy an adapter for that, but that's Apple for you. Their motto should be "We have an adapter for that." LIke the different colors, too. I wanted the rose gold but they were out and I needed it fast, so I got the charcoal gray. Very nice.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m going to buy one for the whole family! Light weight and easy to use! Carry it anywhere! My son does his school work obit daily! Charge really fast. Hold charge for a long time! I like the finger touch access! Has a lot of updated material on MacBook. If you something that works comparable with your school work plus pleasure work, this is a great idea! I’m going to go and work on my new MacBook now!

Excellent Laptop for College
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Macbook Air (i3) is a great computer for college. It can handle writing programs, notes and other various applications well. The Touchpad is particularly nice and useful, which I did not at all expect. The size of the computer is very nice, and can easily be transported. The only "negative" I have to say is that it tends to get hot and run the fan when you run a bigger application (for example, Minecraft; I had to change the graphics settings to help the computer out a bit). The fan turned on very quickly after I launched the app. But this is understandable, since it is only an i3. Advice: If you want to run some bigger programs, opt for a better interior processor.

Wonderful Laptop for School and Work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my last MacBook Air for 6 years, and it was so reliable and user-friendly. I bought this one to get me through medical school. I use it for many hours each day, and it works very well. I appreciate the long battery life, the light weight, and the sleek design. I would definitely recommend it!

Excellent laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent laptop for most of the home needs. It is fast for online browsing, photo editing, music, and desktop publishing. I have not used for other software applications. It runs fast, is lightweight and sync's up with all my other apple devices. The color is great. I purchased a USB adapter for connectivity. The office applications suite works really well.

Beautiful and lightening fast
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this new MacBook Air two days ago and am so impressed by: 1. speed 2. solid touch keyboard 3. touch ID key 4. light weight 5. speaker sound, very clear Wasn't sure about the Thunderbolt plug ins, and needed a USB docking unit to run my printer. Also, wonder why there is an older type headphone round plug in vs the flat ones that came with my new iPhone and iPad?

My first (but not last) Mac!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an awesome notebook! Sleek, lightweight & fast! I purchased the base model but boy is it an upgrade from my last laptop! I'm socking away money for when they introduce a better camera and possibly touchscreen, but I'm happy! I'm switching from Windows but a lot of the shortcuts work on Mac. Once you go Mac, you never go back! I don't know why it took me so long!

Awesome Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the laptop is great. The computer does almost everything you want to, but the camera is not the best quality and is a little blurry. 720p is not the best, but will get you through zoom calls or class. If you go on zoom, the i3 processor can not handle zoom virtual backgrounds, so you have to stick with your normal background. The laptop works really well other than that and the touch id is an easy way to sign in. The battery life is great so far, but I've only used it for a month and a half now. It is nicer than some other laptops out there, but it is a bit on the pricier side.

Fast + magic keyboard is awesome
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this MacBook so I could continue producing small amounts of music. It has a very sleek design and the keyboard has been updated. I bought the base model because I didn’t need anything special, but it can run everything that I have thrown at it. The particular color I have goes with my studio and I enjoy the fact that it also has so many available updates. I believe I will have this machine for a long time as it does provide many ways to update it’s hardware and software. I had it shipped to my home and it came exactly when it was supposed to in perfect condition. I thought it was a good value. I really like how they used recycled aluminum and the product seems to be very reliable. If you don’t already know how to use Apple products it is somewhat complicated to get used to, but I have an apple ecosystem in my house and everything is an Apple product. Since I have that ecosystem I can control almost everything in my house with every single piece of technology.
