This MacBook is awesome! With an i5 and the 512 GB SSD, it makes for an efficient experience. Touch ID makes it easy to get started when I need to work on something quick. Overall I recommend this product. Only downside is I bought it before it went on sale, but would not trade it for the world. Make sure to invest in the adapter for extra ports.

I am obsessed with how fast this macbook is. The battery life is on point. I used it for movies and series at work and it lasted for 3 days. The processor is definitely sooo good. I open so many tabs at once and it has not lagged on me. The keyboard and trackpad is responsive. Overall, this is a great addition to the Mac family.

What's the advantage of an Apple purchase here?

First off, let me say that I am a die-hard Apple user, and have purchased by last two Macbook Airs from Best Buy, one in person and this latest one online. For early adopters, you're not going to find a lower price anywhere else usually. I ordered this product before it was officially released by Apple, and it came within a few days of that release date. Two complaints: 1. Virtually no communication from Best Buy was available concerning the actual shipping date, so for nearly two weeks my purchase page said "preparing your order" with no indication of any progress along the way. Would've been nice up front to give me some idea of a prospective arrival date. 2. Apple purchases from Best Buy DO NOT GIVE YOU ANY POINTS, a factoid that is well buried in their fine print Best Buy Terms agreement "The following purchases or transactions are excluded from receiving points (“Non-Qualifying Purchases”): Apple and Beats products and Apple services not purchased on standard credit with the Best Buy Credit Card," So it's a real "buyer Beware" situation if you're looking for points on Apple purchases, go elsewhere. There--I'm done venting! Great computer for the price, just would probably buy directly from Apple or somewhere else next time.

This computer is super fast. It was easy to set up. Runs Logic Pro without a hitch. Was a little worried about the thermals because I read reviews that said it overheats. Let me tell you this it doesn’t. I can rum several programs at once. If used it now for several months and I have no problems with thermal throttling. Excellent computer and well built.

Pros The design looks magnificent! Screen is good. Magic keyboard is better than the butterfly keyboard if you want more key travel. The laptop runs fast on almost everything I threw at it (XCode, Windows Bootcamp, multitasking). Cons Thermal throttling is happening on a daily basis. When I started having more tabs open and multitasking, the CPU temp got up to +95 Celsius (water boiling at 100 Celsius). Summary I ended up returning the laptop because I was worried the lifespan will be effected from constant thermal throttling.

First time I switched to apple. I’ve been wanting one before and I didn’t regret it buying it. It’s very light, I can use anywhere I go, very convenient to use, I can do all my paperwork, bills, watch movies, podcast, listen to my music, edit pictures and videos etc and I can carry anywhere because it’s so light. Love it!

I am happy with my MacBook Air, but I wish it had more ports besides the two tiny ones it has. It is a real pain to have to have an adapter for things that need USB ports. My mouse takes up one USB port, which I needed to get an adapter to use. That leaves only one of the other tiny ports to use for the power cord. If I have another hard drive or something that uses a USB port, I wouldn't be able to have the laptop plugged into a power source and use my mouse at the same time. This seems like a poor design to me. I have been happy with everything else, though.

This is replacing a MacBook Pro that is almost 10 years. Really like the light weight mobility of air model. Debated for a long time if should just get iPad but can’t break habitats of keyboard all in one. Speed is like that of iPhone, not shocking but does job fine for basic work. Wish went with 16” but this is a bargain laptop - for Apple.

Great small laptop. I’m no gamer so don’t need much more than an occasional movie. Works fine on Zoom calls. Nice keyboard and standard Apple greatness. But...the fan comes on and is loud when it works hard. When is that? Who knows? It just doesn’t like some tasks — usually with too many images (it hated an on line space planning tool). I replaced a MacBook Pro with the Air. Wish I’d stayed with the Pro. That fan never came on. But I am otherwise happy with it and have other options if I really need those online streaming tools.

Pros: Display and graphics are great. Battery life is great. Lightweight and easy to carry with me on-the-go. Cons: If I have more than one application going at a time, two things happen: 1) The fan sounds like it's about to explode; 2) Everything sloooows down. Note: By more than one application, I literally mean two different Safari windows open at a time. For the price point, this is incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

I've been an all Apple user since 2014 but I just finally got my hubby to make the transition and he loves it. He can't believe how much faster and easier to operate this one than his less than 2 year old PC. With this laptop and his Apple watch that I bought him for an early Christmas present we are an all Apple family!

I had a 2011 MacBook Air that’s still in excellent condition just slower and I was ready for a new one. It was freezing up occasionally and since it was 9 years old I figured it was time! Love my new one. Absolutely love the Touch ID. This laptop is fast, reliable and an amazing laptop all the way around. Love the color as well.
