    i5 processor lacks nothing!

I was pretty hesitant to go with the MacBook Air when I began my search for a reasonably priced laptop for my midlife return to college. Being a previous MacBook Pro owner X2 (both of these were damaged purposely by two separate people and I never attempted to repair the crushed screens of either and rendered them useless) I was extremely concerned I would notice a massive difference in performance especially after reading reviews pertaining to the lag. Although my hesitation remained, I just couldn’t get used to the idea of switching to another brand. After much deliberation I decided on going with the upgraded i5 processor which was all my budget would allow and I am SO THRILLED that I did! I can’t say whether or not the i3 would have been sufficient BUT the i5 has yet to show any lack in speed or performance even when operating multiple systems all at once and live streaming hd video. I have heard my MacBook air’s fan kick on to keep it cool maybe three times and only in a completely silent area. Honestly that doesn’t bother me anyway but I read a ton of reviews mentioning it so thought my experience might be useful to some. Conclusion: I couldn’t be happier!!! If you’re a college student and looking for top quality but within a budget, STOP LOOKING and BUY THIS ONE! You won’t regret it!

Mostly what you'd expect from Apple though their quality has been on the decline since Jobs kicked the bucket...having said that, Apple hardware still beats the pants off of literally every other hardware manufacturer out there. I get 7+ years out of my Apple hardware and about 1-2 years out of Windows focused hardware...and once I've squeezed the life out of Apple kit (Apple does release OS updates that force you to stop using their kit) I switch the hardware to a Linux variant (usually Ubuntu) and put it back in service for likely another 5-10 years.

This is a beautiful, lightweight, sleek little laptop. I was worried I was downgrading from my old MacBook Pro but I actually think I prefer the smaller MacBook Air. Flawless design, and can’t stop staring at how beautiful the rose gold color is. Best Buy offered a cheaper price than through Apple and extremely fast delivery. 100% satisfied with this purchase.

Love my new MacBook Air. I had an older MacBook Pro 13 inch and went to the new MacBook Air. I would have preferred a 15’ but it is only available in 13”. It works great for what I need it for. It’s fast, beautiful color and design and very light weight so it is easy to take it places. Would definitely recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for to bring my husband into this millennium. He loved his old computer so much he was so sure he would not want an upgrade. But this MacBook Air is great. Lightweight, fast, touch id he could not ask for more. To top it off, it was on sale $200 off.

It's pretty fast. I'd recommend this for casual, everyday use. Don't worry if you're a first time mac user, it's not too hard to wrap your head around te different system! I was too, but it took me less than a day to feel comfortable with it. My only issues are how loud the fan is, how bad the webcam is in low lighting, and how the webcam is at the spot where you open the computer, which causes a lot of smudging over an already mediocre camera.

I spent countless hours researching this computer (i5 8gb ram 512 sdd) vs the new M1 MacBook Air. I ended up buying both to test out. Here's what I found: i5 - super snappy, processor works wonderfully for simple daily tasks (I'm a student) and it runs cool during these tasks. I opened over a dozen tabs in safari, had Apple TV open running a hd video and it was doing great with the heat and fan noise. For those worried about the heat and fan issue being talked about on the internet so far it was good. I than installed windows 10 via bootcamp. Thats when I noticed the cpu usage over 80%, the fan cranking out like a jet and the computer was over 100 degrees. It was HOT. My sister who works in IT asked me what the noise was and it was me just running Windows. No apps open. Just Windows. M1- It's just as snappy as the i5 and has documented major processor gains over the i5. For my daily use it's not a huge difference. Where there is a difference is there is zero noise (no fan!) and it runs cool. No bootcamp though. In conclusion I went with the M1. Don't be discouraged from the i5 especially if you see it on sale. Just make sure your workflow won't over work the i5 to cause heat/noise issues for you. Now I'll decide on a Windows 10 machine to get for school.

Love the computer does all aspects with ease and quick, love watching movies on it. My only issue is there were no USB ports only c-ports had to purchase extra adapters, to be able to use other apple products. This is my only issue with Apple, need to be aware of this when purchasing. Laptop is very nice looking easy to learn if your new to Mac. Quick shipping I bought my daughter a Mac in 2014 from BB and is great still today!

My previous MacBook Air was 7 years old and with the move to everything on Zoom, I decided to get a new computer. My new Mac Air is lighter and faster. I was amazed that everything transferred over easily. I did not lose anything. Love the Space Gray color.

Love the new MacBook Air. Light weight, very portable. Size fits me very well. There was a slight learning curve between my old Lenovo 920 and the MacBook Air, but I'm loving the MacBook. I guess I'm just an Apple girl.

Great little laptop. Plenty of speed and it is really light to carry in any backpack or briefcase. I do not like the Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports as the only ports but I am working around that with some accessory components.

I had my first MacBook Air since 2012 and it was still going strong. Never. One. Single. Problem. Ever. So when I learned this would be one of the models that would no longer be supported by future iOS upgrades come this fall/winter, I took advantage of a sale. It’s a beauty. Sleek, solid, and fast. I’m an average user..just surfing, music, emails etc. not a gamer or video producer etc. basic user so this works great. I love the Touch ID and the feel and responsiveness of the keyboard and 3D Touch of the mouse. My fingers just glide. The simple touches go a long way for me and Apple gets it right. I also love the speakers are on each side of the keyboard and the sound is great. I couldn’t be happier. Lifelong Apple user here.
