Great laptop!

Watched a lot of YouTube videos which compared the Air with the Pro. For what I use it for, the Air was by far the better bargain. I had avoided MacBooks for a few years because of the butterfly keyboard issue. This new 2020 model has a new keyboard which is fantastic. The trackpad is also great! Very happy with it.

DISAPPOINTED- LOUD FAN(will switch back to MACPRO)

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like the new MacBook Air when I decided to upgrade, especially considering the price & the new processor upgrade, lightweight, screen quality, etc.. I've own several MacBooks besides the air since I heard may people had trouble with the fan. Meanwhile, I read a few reviews prior to buying this model complaining about apple not upgrading the fan & that it may be even worst keeping up with the upgraded processor. Since I don't use my laptop for anything too advanced I figured I would be fine considering. However, I was wrong! Not only is it much slower, but when you have multiple tabs running sometimes the fan is so loud it is actually distracting/annoying! Definitely not taking any chances with this thing but luckily, the new MacBook Pro came out this week anyways therefore I will be exchanging the air for this instead!!

Get Apple Care.

Did have to send to Apple for software issue within 3 months. Otherwise works well. Would recommend Apple Care at time of purchase. Cannot buy within one year like the iPhone and other iOS devices. Also the Apple store said there is discounted Apple Care for students. Thank goodness it was still under initial warranty.
