Light weight, extremely fast, nice upgrade to old Macbook

I picked up this Macbook Air because of its size, but I should have realized that the screensize and the location of the USB-C connector location was going to be a problem for me. I did not deduct the rating due to my dislikes but rather due to the nuance that was noticed above open windows. Every once in a while I would have a Internet Browser open and right across the top edge of the window would flicker. I searched this and found several others complaining about this and it did not appear to be a permanent fix. To resolve this flickering, just move the window and it does not happen again. There is absolutely no other issues I had this Macbook at all except fro what was identified above. It performs as necessary to meet my spreed sheet needs and the amount of ram was enough to meet the challenge of web surfing/Stock Quoting/Price Quoting/Video Watching on a its local screen as well as another external monitor. I ended up returning the MacBook Air and went with the more expensive MacBook Pro (15"). Now everything is bigger and faster.

I must say I am very impressed with the new MacBook. Very speedy, great Retina display and the sound is phenomenal. I have no bad things to say about this computer, soooo happy!

Great light weight laptop. Lots of power. Had for a few years and still great.

I absolutely loved this computer when I got it but when I opened the camera the quality was awful and is so below apple standards. I thought the one I had must be defective so I went to the store to check the model and it was horrible too. I called Apple and attempted to fix it but it seems that right now nothing can be done to fix the issue. I returned it as the old Macbook Air had a much better camera and I use it all the time for video calls. I mean if you are planning to update to a beautiful retina screen why would you leave an outdated camera when just about everything is done by video calls now. Very disappointing. For now I will keep the old one and hope that next year the camera will catch up to the screen capabilities.

I absolutely love my new MacBook. It ties in with my iPhone and iPad like no other computer can. Will always by Mac for my laptop! The only thing that took a little more playing with to get used to was the new keyboard, but once you've typed on it for a while you start to get better with it.

Great size for on the go. Great for school and work. Perfect.

I have been a user of MacBook Air since 2014. The past several generations of MacBook Air have a low resolution display. I am glad that the new generation of MacBook Air finally uses retina display. However, the CPU performance is not suitable for computational-extensive usage. I like the built quality, but cannot understand why Apply introduces MacBook and MacBook Air at the same time.

Everything about this laptop is perfect except for the charging speed. I don't expect it to charge lightning fast, but it is very noticeably slow.

Totally disgusted with Best Buy! Just spent $1200 for what I thought was a “new” MacBook Air, and after 2 hours with Apple support, found out my “new” MacBook was refurbished! I will never buy anything from Best Buy again! Be careful with buying anything “new” from them!

I'm not really sure what's happening with Apple products. However, this new Macbook Air has really left me disappointed. The battery life on it does not last very long. I had my 2011 Macbook Air and I could go a week or so before I would have to charge it. It always stayed on my desk, and it was always on, it would sleep but I rarely shut it down. This new Air has to be charged every 2 to 3 days. It's not as functional with other products and I'm seriously considering returning it at this point. It's not worth the money that I've spent on it. I feel like now I'm no longer paying for quality but for the name.
