As is typical forApple, easy start up right out of the box. Caution to those who have a lot of external devices: there are only 2 USB ports (prior MacBook had 2 USB + separate HDMI, FireWire, Ethernet, SD slots, etc) and third party devices which can expand available slots are of highly variable functionality.

I bought this for my daughter who graduated college and needed one for work and pleasure. She loves it . Perfect for both

It works well for our college student who is also a musician. He uses it for school and his creative work. He's happy with this laptop.

I bought this for my daughter, age 13 at the time. We have been very happy with the purchase. My only recommendation is to not use Geeksquad for any concerns with it. My daughter had an issue with "sticky keys". Geeksquad charged to replace the keyboard and the issue continued. It is literally a setting. I found this out when I took it to Apple directly and they listened to what I was saying was happening. Anyway, it is a great computer and does everything a teen could want it to.

The Bose headphones are comfortable, sound amazing, and easy to use. It's also surprising how well the talk/call features work and sound.

I needed to learn the Mac OS in order to support it. I also wanted a new computer with a really long battery life and the MacBook Air fit the bill. It's slower than my Surface Pro 3 to boot up but once it's running it gets the job done. And I really enjoy the keyboard which most people don't seem to.

Generally more expensive than PC’s but for the money they provide the highest value. Macs are high quality, durable, fast, and long lasting.
