Purchase for My College Freshmen

Initially, we purchased Chromebooks for them but we had to replace my daughters twice. I let her use my MacBook Pro and decided to get her a MacBook of her own. I stopped into BestBuy to see what they had and picked up this one. She squealed getting her own Apple computer and I don't have the worries of it failing in the middle of her assignments. Getting my son one next.

Great computer way over priced

That's a nope there are so many laptops out there with just as much and more computing power than this for literally half the price Apple products historically have ran the same processors as everything else on the market you are literally paying for the name even iPhones up until the X had Samsung processors in them they were made by Samsung ..the irony. So if you just have to have the Apple user platform with your Starbucks latte ..and you don't mind paying twice the price which you shouldn't anyway your drinking a Starbucks coffee then this is the laptop for you. If you need a really good computer for a reasonable price then compare the hardware with hp Microsoft Dell etc for a lot less

The New MacBook Air

I like the additional USB-C port, 13" Retina, and i5 processor. Keyboard has a slightly different (improved) feel...might not actually be a change but just the "new" feel. Overall I am impressed with the battery life and performance. I considered the new MacBook Pro but the Air was on sale and I couldn't pass up the great price. Plenty of power for how I work.
