The computer is very light weight which is good since we will be traveling a lot this year, she will need to bring it along and won't have to carry a heavy computer around. She has an iPhone so it works great since she can receive text on her computer and respond. Thinking about buying one for myself as well.

Awesome lightweight Laptop

She loves it because of restrictions on iOS that didn't allow her to do certain things. I have a 15" 2017 Macbook Pro and this Macbook Air is even thinner. Only draw backs are there are only 2 USB-C connections and both are located on one side. Would have been nice to see at least one on each side to allow charging in different situations.

Great MacBook Pro, best model Apple offers

The touchbar simply replaces existing F-keys which do the job just fine. This model can be had for just a hundred dollars over a grand on sales and it's very capable. The only downside is the low internal storage and you don't get an SD card slot, so cloud storage or dongle adapters for portable HDDs are the way to go.
