Moving from a 2012 MacBook Pro. Very light and performance is strong so far. Keyboard has shorter key strokes but still feels great. Battery life is as advertised. Would recommend as a laptop for anyone other than someone who needs true Pro computing power,

I bought it and hadn't opened the box for 15+ days. I wanted to return it but bestbuy wouldnt accept it beyond 15 days. When I eventually opened the laptop, the display did not work. Horrible product, horrible customer service. Never buy again from best buy

This MacBook arrived defective. The keys don’t work and the volume doesn’t work either. I paid so much money for a defective device. I’m extremely disappointed.

Probably great for someone already familiar with Apple computers. For me this has proved to be just an expensive paperweight.

    More of that Apple Magic

Today, I opened the lid on my MacBook Air and my Apple Watch buzzed. No need to enter a password or even put my finger on the Touch ID. Unlocked via Apple Watch. Fifteen minutes later I was browsing reddit and my phone rang. No need to take my phone out of my pocket, just click the button on the screen and I'm talking to my wife via the computer. When I signed on to reddit for the first time there was no need to enter a user name and password, Safari already had it because I had used it on my phone... Magic. Times have really changed. I'm a big fan of both Microsoft and Apple. One Drive is what I use for cloud storage and One Note is my favorite / most used application. I love One Note. Frankly, it is even better on the Mac then on the PC. I have no clue why Microsoft apps work just as well if not better on an apple computer, but they do. As with most Apple products, the price is high but they don't depreciate like other products. Apple products are actually cheaper to own than most people realize. As with other Apple products, you can always sell your used product on Ebay. If you are rocking a Samsung phone and Chrome Cast on your TV than this is not for you. If you have an iPhone then go for it, you will not be disappointed.

This is my first MacBook and I love it I’ve been saying I was going to buy one for the longest but I couldn’t just spend the money, but after my PC’s constantly going to waste I figured I might as well. It is very easy to set up and the display and ability to sync with my iPhone and iPad is a plus ! I should have bout a MacBook a longgg time ago but overall I would recommend to anyone looking for a good laptop for college since it is essentially what I use it for. I’m not tech savvy but I’m sure it would be great for other things. The only thing I don’t like is the price for the 128gb that’s is useless i accidentally bought that model at first but hurried back to exchange for a larger ssd once I realized.

Good overall... Apple still doing same old thing!

I have been using Mac's for 30+ years. Apple goes through cycles every so many years where they want to be the first with the new technology. When they come out with it they dump all the old forgetting most of us are still using the old. This MacBook Air is great except the USB-C only ports. Are you kidding me Apple! No other ports. Charging with the new USB-C is awful compared to the older magnetic charger connection. The reason Apple first went to the older magnetic charging cable was in case you hit the cord it would disconnect without issue. Not with USB-C. Not only will it not disconnect if you hit it, it is down right hard to unplug. The connection is so tight. Then there is the need to buy an adaptor to use older connections like USB 2.0/3.0 or a camera SD card. Poor choice Apple! You did this back in the day when you thought nobody needed older port connections going to USB. Yes, I understand the need to go to newer tech but to dump everything cold turkey and expect everyone to do the same actually had me looking at windows machines. Problem is I hate windows os so much I will live with the short sided mindless thinking of Apple. I love the new Mac OS. I love the new keys of the butterfly keyboard. Another thing is the limited offering of the entry level computers. Apple it does not cost you so much to install a larger SSD. Are you kidding me shipping computers in 2019 with SSD at 128g. This was good 10 years ago not now. Your entry level should be shipping with 500g-1TB SSD. This is really stupid a 128g SSD. I love Apple but they are being cheap. Of course the quality is great of the Air. If you are new to Apple this is still a great computer. If your upgrading from an older MacBook Pro or Air the faster Mac OS with the SSD and new processors should be as fast or faster than the older i7 intel chips in MacBooks over 5 yrs old.

At the time of purchase it was great! It’s obviously still good but doesn’t compare to new; though if you’re on a budget and don’t mind having an older generation then this is perfect!

This is my first Mac and I am so glad I made the switch from Windows. It works seamlessly with my iPhone, unlocks with my Apple Watch Series 3, and is incredibly user friendly. It was difficult getting used to the keyboard on this but now that I have, I absolutely love it. The gold color is so beautiful, the display is gorgeous, and the device is pretty snappy considering I really only use it to type up papers and do some very light gaming. The battery also lasts me most of the day running Spotify while doing homework and it charges quickly. It is pretty pricey, but I think it is worth the investment.
