    I purchased this MacBook Air to replace one I had dropped lightly on carpeted floor and needed replacement fast. Monitor gone, with one minor bump. Unlike the heavier-weight tolerance of the MacBook Pros, the lightweight Air ones are not so tough. If I could have afforded the Pro, then I would have gone with that one and you have the extra "plug-ins" capacity, unlike the lightweight MacBook Air versions. Indeed, it's worth the extra cost if you can handle it. This is my third light-weight in about 6 years. That's one every two years then D O N E. One bump and the monitor is gone--replacing monitor is about $600.00. I'm being honest here. Having said the above, I will add that this one has a lot of space and all adequate memory you could ever need and long battery life. This is my personal experiences with any MacBook. I had heavier Pros that lasted many years. You do get what you pay for.
