Bezel cracked
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BestBuy service was great. I'm giving the product one start because I'm extremely disappointed with Apple. I Had the computer for only 15 days and the screen cracked at the bezel without any reason. No dropping the computer. Took it to Apple and their answer was “it happens very frequently” now, I was forced to buy the apple care package and pay an extra $99 for the repair or I will have to pay $400 for replacement of the entire screen since they refused to replace just the Bezel part. I had Apple computers for more than 15 years and I never had this happen before. The quality of their products is going down. Dont WASTE your money!

My first MacBook and I love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first MacBook and I’m in love! This is the new MacBook Air with M2 chip in Midnight 2022 model. I ordered mine with 67W USB-C Power Adapter for $20. My MacBook is the standard model. No upgrades. I love it. It’s so lightweight. The color is fantastic! I’m not seeing all of the fingerprints that others are mentioning. Screen is large enough to watch movies comfortably. I enjoy the Touch ID. Not having to enter your password every time you lock your MacBook is a great function. I do wish it was also touchscreen like my Samsung. I’m still getting used to the different functions of the Mac but it’s pretty easy to use. One downside is that I’ll have to purchase the correct adapter so that I can sync everything from my iPhone to the MacBook. The phone charger doesn’t fit the MacBook. Not sure why that doesn’t automatically populate when you connect it to your Apple ID. That’s my only negative opinion about it. I originally wanted the MacBook Pro though, after looking at the price I determined that this was a better choice for me. The MacBook Pro is really heavy. Although it does have that really nice large screen the weight and the price for the standard wasn’t for me. Again, I love it! I hope you get one too! #MacBook #Mac #Apple #MacBookAir #CollegeStudent #M2 Here are the specs from Apple: 8-Core CPU 8-Core GPU 8GB Unified Memory 256GB SSD Storage¹ 16-core Neural Engine 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone 1080p FaceTime HD camera MagSafe 3 charging port Two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports Magic Keyboard with Touch ID Force Touch trackpad 30W USB-C Power Adapter

Not so great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For all the hype over apple, to be honest, I’m not impressed. While it looks very good, the battery life, which is the lifeblood of a laptop, is terrible. Maybe my experience is unique. But we have used Microsoft surface and have had better experiences.

The Unsung Hero for Creatives: MacBook Air M2
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After years of pushing my early 2011 MacBook Pro beyond its limits for photo editing and small video editing projects, I finally made the leap to the MacBook Air M2. Skeptics often downplay the capabilities of Mac laptops for creative tasks, but my experience speaks volumes about the robustness and longevity of these machines. **The Upgrade:** The MacBook Air M2 was a game-changer for me, primarily due to its multicore processor and enhanced GPU capabilities. This upgrade wasn't just about keeping up with software updates; it was about unlocking a new level of creative potential, especially for editing tasks that I occasionally tackle away from my primary workstation. **What Stands Out:** - **Design & Build:** The midnight color option exudes a sleek, almost Batman-esque vibe that I absolutely love. It's not just about looks; the laptop's lightweight design makes it a dream to carry around. - **Performance:** The speed at which this machine boots and launches apps is impressive. The bright, high-quality screen is a joy to work on, with its luminosity mostly set at a comfortable 60% for me. - **Cooling System:** The absence of fans, relying instead on heatsinks, is a thoughtful design that reduces overheating risks—making it safer for laps and bed use. - **Battery Life:** It's a significant leap forward, lasting longer than any laptop I've previously owned. - **Speakers:** Surprisingly decent for a laptop, enhancing the overall user experience. **Creative Workflows:** Contrary to popular belief, the MacBook Air M2 has been a capable companion for my creative endeavors. Editing and color grading 4k RAW video was smooth, with fast exports and minimal slowdowns, except when applying more demanding effects. While not the ultimate video editing machine for all scenarios, it excels in 1080p and 4k projects under 10 minutes. The screen, despite its brilliance, tends towards a darker, more saturated display compared to other devices, something to keep in mind for photo editing. **Practical Advice:** - **Storage:** Avoid costly SSD upgrades from Apple. Opt for a high-speed external drive like the Crucial 2TB USB-C for a fraction of the price. - **Connectivity:** A USB-C hub is essential for connecting additional peripherals, enhancing the laptop's versatility. - **Protection:** Invest in a padded sleeve to safeguard against wear and tear. **Areas for Improvement:** The default 8GB RAM and 256GB storage feel a bit constrained for 2023. An upgrade to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage would have been more appropriate for a laptop of this caliber, especially for creative professionals. **Final Thoughts:** Despite needing a larger monitor for intensive editing tasks, the MacBook Air M2 has proven itself as a reliable secondary machine for my creative workflow. It's a testament to the idea that you don't need the most expensive setup to achieve professional results. Whether it's for backup use or as a portable workstation, the MacBook Air M2 stands tall as a versatile, powerful tool for creatives on the go.

||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MacBook Air with the M2 chip has been an amazing choice for me as a college student. It is lightweight, easy to carry across campus, and the Starlight color gives it a sleek look that stands out. The 13.6" display is clear and bright, which makes writing papers, taking notes, and watching lectures feel smooth and enjoyable. The performance is strong and dependable. The M2 chip handles multitasking without slowing down, whether I am switching between research tabs, streaming, or working on assignments. The battery life lasts through my entire school day, and it stays quiet and cool while running. This laptop is GREAT FOR EVERYDAY USE and has been very beneficial for both my academic work and personal use. Even though 256GB of storage can feel a bit small, it works well with iCloud and is more than enough for my daily needs. Overall, this MacBook Air is reliable, efficient, and perfect for a student/everyday lifestyle.

MacBook Pro Mystery
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure what I expected but found out a mouse is definitely needed with this product. It charges up to 80% and then goes into some sort of holding pattern. I’m sure haven’t covered all the instructions but probably wouldn’t recommend to someone else I liked.

Long Overdue Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the MacBook Air 13.6" with the Apple M2 chip for a few weeks now, and I must say it's been an absolute delight. This sleek and stylish laptop has managed to impress me with its performance, portability, and overall user experience. Design and Build Quality: As expected from Apple, the design is minimalistic and elegant. The Space Gray color gives it a sophisticated and professional appearance. The build quality is top-notch, with a sturdy aluminum unibody that feels premium and durable. Performance: The highlight of this MacBook Air is undoubtedly the Apple M2 chip. The M2 is blazing fast, offering a significant performance boost over the previous generation. Whether I'm browsing the web, working on documents, or editing photos, the laptop handles everything with ease. It's worth mentioning that the M2 chip's efficiency ensures that the battery life is excellent, providing me with extended usage without the need for frequent charging. Display: The 13.6" Retina display is stunning. The colors are vibrant, and the images are sharp and clear. Whether I'm watching videos or working on graphics-intensive tasks, the display never disappoints. Additionally, the True Tone technology adjusts the screen's color temperature to match the ambient lighting, making it easier on the eyes during extended usage. Keyboard and Trackpad: Typing on the Magic Keyboard is a delightful experience. The keys have a good amount of travel, providing tactile feedback, and the layout is comfortable for long typing sessions. The trackpad is large and precise, supporting a wide range of gestures that make navigation a breeze. Storage and Memory: The 256GB SSD offers ample storage for most users, ensuring quick boot times and swift application launches. The 8GB of memory may seem modest compared to some high-end laptops, but thanks to Apple's optimization, it handles multitasking effectively. However, power users might consider upgrading to 16GB for more demanding tasks. Ports and Connectivity: In terms of ports, the MacBook Air comes equipped with two USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt 4. These versatile ports allow for high-speed data transfer, charging, and connecting to external displays. While I appreciate the USB-C ports' universality, some users might miss the inclusion of traditional USB-A ports or an SD card slot. MacOS and Software Ecosystem: As a long-time macOS user, I find the operating system intuitive, stable, and seamless. The integration with other Apple devices, such as iPhones and iPads, through Continuity features, is a significant advantage for Apple ecosystem users. Heat and Noise: One aspect that impressed me is how quiet and cool the MacBook Air stays even during intensive tasks. The fanless design of the M2 chip ensures a noise-free experience, and the laptop remains pleasantly cool under moderate workloads. Verdict: The MacBook Air 13.6" with the Apple M2 chip is an exceptional laptop that delivers on both form and function. Its performance, sleek design, and remarkable display make it a joy to use for productivity, creative work, and entertainment. While it might not suit everyone's budget, if you are invested in the Apple ecosystem or prioritize premium build quality and efficiency, this laptop is a top contender. Whether you're a student, a professional, or a casual user, the MacBook Air with the M2 chip is a reliable and capable companion for all your computing needs.
