Was upgrading from a 2015 mbpro, so I knew the improvement would be substantial. On my old macbook pro, Word documents—hundreds of pages, tracked changes, comments, templates, etc.—would make the base of the machine hot. The fan would spin loudly, the thing would freeze. Not so with this macbook air. The thing is whip fast and silent. I can have a ridiculous amount of documents (tracked changes, all the bells and whistles) up at once, and this thing doesn't so much as stutter or get hot. It's incredible--and incredibly lightweight. Hard to believe an AIR is better than my PRO used to be, but there you have it.

This is a great upgrade from the 2017 MacBook Air. I love the color, don’t care for the fingerprints but a clear case fixed that issue. I also like the added weight to this laptop, makes it feel like I own a MacBook Pro. I use it for editing in FCP, it works like a charm for editing video. I give this MacBook a 9 out of 10. Processing time is very good but it could be slightly better. The battery last for days on a full charge if I’m not using it. While editing it last all day. So far this is my best purchase of the year.

The thing about Mac is, unless you just really enjoy minimal changes at a premium, you really only have to upgrade one every 7-10 years depending on whether you are willing to replace the battery or not. My last model was a 2015 i5. Lets just say, this M2 version exceeds my every expectation. Its more powerful than previous year’s Pro base models, at a price that feels acceptable, and a battery that goes on forever. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good all around notebook that will last you a decade before needing to upgrade again.

Up until the year 2020, I had been a MacBook owner. I had a 2015 MacBook Air that caught a virus. To save on costs, I opted for a Chromebook and the iPad Air. While I love my iPad, nothing beats having an actual laptop with a keyboard. I love how lightweight and sleek this device is. I love this new macbook m2 air. It's light, portable, and super quick! I had a 2019 touchbar macbook pro 13" and it was so bad. I hated the touch bar as it added nothing special and was pretty heavy in my opinion. The keys are also so nice and type very nicely. I can never go back to my macbook pro after this. Get this laptop if you are looking to do simple tasks.
