Seriously did you purchased this laptop before 2024 or when the base model had only 8 GB of ram and it went for the same price as the 16 GB of ram. If you said yes to my question then I feel sorry for you and for Apple to to give M2 base for 2 years and then all of a sudden a few months ago deciding to ship out the same laptop with 16 GBs of memory for the same price as the people that paid for the 8 GB version. Well for me it was a win win! I returned my base model M3 MacBook Pro that had 8 GB of Ram! OMG! and got this and oh buy let me tell you the extra 8 GB does make huuuuge difference.

This laptop is a great work/company laptop. The size and speed makes all the different for remote workers. This is a quality laptop worth purchasing.

This computer was a gift for my niece. Of course we both started using it and I have to say that Apple has brought down Macbook Air to a nice price point where it is affordable to everyone. The M2 Chip, 16 Gb memory is enough for someone that uses it for school and social media. This a great everyday use laptop for a teenager. Most people don't work in multimedia or need much more than this. It's a great device and I loved it for my niece.

Considering that upgrading from 8 GB to 16 GB would have cost me $200 at purchase, I essentially paid $250 to use my old device for a whole year—an excellent value!
