Let me start the review with saying that Apple makes great products - they are, however, overpriced when not on sale. I purchased this specifically to write some code and surf the web. I'm not in college, just taking online coding classes. Please note that I'm primarily a windows user for gaming. I purchased this specifically to avoid gaming on a laptop. This is to purposefully for skill development. I like to compartmentalize things... If you're going to do heavy gaming, don't even look at Mac. Build your own PC! Pros: - Battery life is fantastic. Apple knocked it out of the park on this. I sometimes leave it on sleep for days, only to find it's lost a few percentage points of battery on standby. Really quite amazing. - Interface with iPhone is seamless. Very useful to get messages or phone calls since I frequently leave my phone somewhere else to focus on my coding projects. - Well-built and sturdy. Not much more to be said there. - Apple silicon (the chip) with the integrated RAM is extremely power efficient. As said above, battery life is fantastic. - Satisfying keyboard and amazing trackpad with great feedback and useability. Trackpads on windows laptops have always sucked. This thing is basically made to never need a mouse. You can click on any spot (even corners) and it doesn't feel tough. On windows laptops you usually struggled to click/right click on the top and outer edges of the pad. Apple does extremely well with their trackpads. Cons: - Fingerprint magnet. I purchased a thin, hard-shell case to avoid getting grease prints on it. - 3rd party mouse (because they want you to buy an overpriced apple mouse) sucks on this. You have to install 3rd party software to get it to work right. Again, primarily made to be used without a mouse. - In addition to the above, a mouse just doesn't behave right when connected. Yes, I'm aware you can change settings to make it better - the point is a mouse shouldn't slingshot across the screen. I primarily use a logitech G502 hero on my gaming desktop. It just works. When you do the same with the macbook, it sucks. Since I'm not gaming, however, it's not a deal breaker. - Price. If you are going to pay full price for this, well, you probably have extra money to burn. Not worth it buying at full price. Apple will charge you +$200 per 256gb of extra storage. It's soldered to the motherboard, so, whatever choice you get, no upgrading later. It's done on purpose to get you to spend more money on the higher storage options. - No Fans. Apple had issues with the M2 Macbooks running ridiculously hot. This appear to have been fixed, but, still doesn't seem right to not at least have a small blower fan on the CPU/GPU. They reserve fans for the Pro models - again, another way to try and get you to upgrade. In their defense, if you aren't doing anything heavy, it's not necessarily required. If you are going to do heavy video editing on this, you're probably not even looking at this model and will be spending more on the Pro version. - 60hz in 2024. This is nitpicky, but, my opinion nonetheless. Other Notes: - In my personal opinion, you have to ask yourself what you're going to use this for. Are you going to surf the web, check email, upload photos, do light video editing for youtube? If yes, this will probably work for you. If you're going to do heavier editing, you'll probably best to just get an external SSD for on the go editing. Don't get ripped off on overpriced internal storage. Quite frankly, the new minimum for storage should be 512gb and not 256gb. Also, do yourself a favor and get the 16gb version if you're going to do any sort of light video editing work. 8gb RAM just isn't really enough anymore - unless all you're doing is using it for emails and surfing the web. Final note - I highly recommend to buy it on sale. Yes, it's a quality product, but, Apple uses it's own name to justify overcharging folks. Bought mine during black friday and got $250 off this model.

I have been using the MacBook Air 13 inch M2 with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage for a few weeks now, and I am really impressed. It is super light and easy to carry around, but still feels solid and premium. The Midnight color is beautiful, a deep blue that almost looks black in some lighting, though it does pick up fingerprints if you touch it a lot. Performance is outstanding. The M2 chip makes everything run smoothly. I can have tons of tabs, apps, and documents open at once and it never slows down. The 16GB of memory really helps because it feels like it can handle anything I need. The screen is bright and colorful, the speakers are clear and surprisingly loud, and the battery life is amazing. I can easily get through a full day of school or work without needing to charge it. The new Apple Intelligence features are also really useful. It can summarize notes, organize tasks, and adapt to how I use my laptop. It actually feels like it learns from my habits. If I had to find one downside, it would be that the base storage fills up quickly, so I wish it had more space. Other than that, this laptop is basically perfect for everyday use.

The screen cracked almost immediately, showing very poor durability. I was unable to return the laptop, and the repair cost is as expensive as buying a new one.

I purchased the Apple MacBook Air 13-inch for my 15 year old son, and it’s his very first MacBook he owned not handed down. He is extremely happy with it! The laptop is lightweight, fast, and easy to use, making it perfect for schoolwork, projects, and everyday use. The battery life is excellent, his old MacBook only lasted a few hours, so this has been a huge improvement. The screen looks amazing, setup was quick and simple, and everything runs smoothly. This was a big upgrade for him, and he couldn’t be more excited. Great quality and definitely worth the purchase!

I purchased the Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with the M2 chip on July 30th, and after using it consistently, I can confidently say it’s been a great investment. The performance is incredibly smooth — it handles multitasking, streaming, and everyday work without any lag. Everything opens quickly, and it runs very quietly. One of my favorite things about this laptop is how lightweight and sleek it is. It’s easy to carry around, whether I’m working at a desk or taking it with me on the go. The battery life has also been impressive and easily lasts me throughout the day without needing to recharge. The display is bright and clear, and the keyboard feels comfortable for long typing sessions. The only small downside is that it has limited ports, so you may need adapters depending on what devices you use. However, that hasn’t been a major issue for me. Overall, I would highly recommend this MacBook Air to anyone looking for a reliable, fast, and portable laptop for school, work, or everyday use.

The MacBook Air (M2, 2023) continues to deliver on its promise of a highly portable, premium laptop with strong performance. Its design remains a standout, featuring a lightweight aluminum build that feels incredibly solid and sleek. At just 2.7 pounds, it’s ideal for users who need a machine that’s easy to carry around without sacrificing durability. The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display is bright and vibrant, with excellent color accuracy, making it perfect for casual media consumption and creative tasks. True Tone technology enhances viewing comfort by adjusting the screen’s color temperature based on the ambient lighting. Performance-wise, the M2 chip is impressive. It handles everyday tasks, multitasking, and even more demanding applications like video editing smoothly. One of the biggest selling points is its fanless design, which keeps the laptop silent even under heavier workloads. The battery life is excellent, offering up to 18 hours of use, making it ideal for long workdays without needing to recharge frequently. However, the port selection is somewhat limited, with only two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, a MagSafe charger, and a headphone jack. This might be restrictive for users needing more connectivity without a hub. Overall, the MacBook Air M2 is a solid choice for students, professionals, or creatives looking for a powerful, portable laptop. Its premium design, strong performance, and excellent battery life make it a great investment, although the limited ports may be a drawback for some.

I bought this MacBook Air for my daughter, and she tells me she really loves it. The Midnight color is beautiful — it actually looks nicer in person than it does online. She hasn’t started college yet, but she’ll be using it for her marketing assignments, and she said this laptop feels perfect for what she’ll need. She mentioned that it’s light, fast, and easy to use. The screen is clear, the battery lasts a long time, and everything runs smoothly. She’s very happy with it, and I’m glad I chose this one.

Performance The M3 chip is incredibly powerful and optimized for Apple’s ecosystem, delivering lightning-fast performance and seamless multitasking. With 16GB of memory, it handles demanding tasks effortlessly, whether it’s video editing, programming, or running multiple apps. Design The 13-inch MacBook Air in Starlight is sleek and lightweight, making it perfect for portability. The color is elegant and stands out subtly. The design continues Apple’s tradition of minimalist aesthetics. Display The Retina display offers stunning visuals, vibrant colors, and sharp text. It’s perfect for watching videos, editing photos, and day-to-day work. Battery Life The battery life is impressive, lasting a full day with moderate use. This makes it an excellent choice for students, professionals, or travelers. Storage The 256GB SSD provides fast boot times and quick access to files. However, it might feel limiting for users with extensive media libraries or heavy applications, so consider external storage or a higher-capacity model if needed. Pros • Exceptional performance with the M3 chip • Lightweight and portable design • Gorgeous Retina display • Long-lasting battery Cons • Limited storage for power users • Premium price Conclusion The MacBook Air 13-inch with the M3 chip is a fantastic laptop for those who want a balance of power, portability, and style. It’s ideal for casual to professional users who value performance and sleek design. If storage isn’t a concern, it’s a worthy investment.

I've had 3 MacBook Air's over the last decade+, and this is by far the best laptop I've ever had. I opted to buy the older M2 model instead of the Newer M3 that had just come out and I'm not disappointed with me decision. Fast processor, plenty of RAM (16gb), great screen all in a 3lb package. Travels well and the battery life is insane! I typically charge it once or twice a week, depending on what I'm doing with it. Great for watching movies when I'm traveling. It's really just a joy to use this laptop.
