midnight color retains smudges and smears

I think the store associate ordered the wrong color for me. I originally wanted the starlight (golden). I had read online that the midnight color retains fingerprints and smudges. Reviews were right. I didn't think it would bother me that much but they really do stand out. ended up returning the computer to swap it for a starlight color that does not retain smears.
