Still great in late 2025
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light, quick, and able to handle everything I've thrown at it so far, this M2 workhorse might be a few generations old, but it's still an absolute beast. For context, I'm a photographer and use this for when I'm on location, in transit or when I just need to get away from my main office (where I have my main computer). My main concern with getting an Air was thermal throttling, and so far, that hasn't been an issue. Maybe if I was doing video editing, but for photo work, with its short, snappy bursts of processing work, temperatures rarely get that hot. An easy thumbs up if you want to get the most bang for your buck.

Performance is smooth for everyday tasks, but the biggest drawback is the battery life it doesn’t stay charged as long as I expected it too. Also, it’s a little odd that the inside doesn’t even say “MacBook.” Overall, good for light use, but not ideal if you need all-day power.
