I’ve been very impressed with the 13-inch MacBook Air M4 (16GB RAM, 512GB SSD). It’s incredibly fast and handles multitasking effortlessly—multiple browser tabs, productivity apps, and light photo/video editing run smoothly with no lag. The fanless design is a big plus; it’s completely silent and stays cool during everyday use. The display is bright and sharp, the keyboard is comfortable, and the battery easily lasts a full day with normal use. I’m glad I chose the 16GB memory option—it makes a noticeable difference for long-term performance. The 512GB SSD provides plenty of storage and is very fast. The only downsides are the limited ports (you’ll likely need a hub) and the 60Hz display, but these are minor compared to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a powerful, portable, and reliable laptop for work or daily use.

This poor rating is NOT about the MacBook Air it's about Best Buy. When I purchased the MacBook I at the same time traded a computer. I received my promised money for the trade in, however I did not receive the refund for the tax overage that I paid at time of sale and which the stated ON THEIR website I would receive. No matter the calls I made to the store nor to corporate or the emails, nor the BBB complaint I filed. It's not a lot of money it's the principle.FALSE ADVERTISMENT! BEWARE

It’s been about two months since I’ve been using this MacBook Air (14-inch, M4 chip), and overall I’m really happy with it. The lightweight design is a big plus for me, and the user interface feels very smooth and easy to use. It’s genuinely relaxing to work on for long hours. The battery life has been great so far, I easily get close to the 36 hours Apple claims. The MagSafe charger is also pretty cool and convenient to use. The keyboard feels very smooth and comfortable, and the screen has really good color accuracy. I do photo editing and some animation work, and everything feels quite seamless with no noticeable lag. It handles my workflow well while still staying quiet and cool. Overall, it’s a solid laptop that balances performance, portability, and battery life really well, and I’m glad I chose it.

Light, fast, and a beautiful display. We bought this as a gift for our daughter and she loves it! As an author, she spends hours at the keyboard and loves the battery life and size of the MacBook Air 13-inch Laptop.

1. Battery Life • In lighter / mixed use (web, video streaming, writing, etc.), you can get 14-15 hours or more. For example, the 13-inch model hit ~14h 51m in a web surfing test.  • The 15-inch version lasts “over 15 hours” in similar conditions.  • For video playback, reviews have numbers that come closer to Apple’s “up to 18 hours” claim.  2. Performance vs Power Efficiency • The M4 chip is a step up in both GPU/CPU performance, especially in tasks that short‐bursts heavy work (opening apps, editing photos, light video).  • Because it’s fanless, there’s no noise. But that also means sustained heavy tasks (long video rendering, continuous high CPU load) can heat up the chassis and lead to throttling.  3. Design, Display, and Usability • Retains the slim, light, premium build of the Air line.  • Good quality display (Liquid Retina, good color accuracy, True Tone). The webcam is a noticeable upgrade.  • New color options and lower entry price improve appeal.

Had to replace my MacBook Pro. Teaching during COVID killed it. Very happy with my new MacBook Air. Super thin and lightweight. Doesn’t get hot or have a noisy fan like my old Pro. I do miss the DVD drive and USB ports. There is a USC to USB converter you can buy that works for some accessories. I was able to easily transfer everything across from my iPhone. I bought the blue and love it.Battery life is amazing!
