I own a MacBook Pro 14 M3 Max as well for my business/work. That stays at home primarily and I use this MacBook Air M3 for travel. I have had the 15" MBA as well. My advice is if you have a true pro level need for your work then get a Pro machine. For the vast majority of people the Air is amazing, For purposes, traveling with it is a breeze. Granted the screen is different from the Pro but it is not at all bad, if anything it is not as bright as I would like but not bad. If you are looking at the air models and you are not traveling extensively or it will be your only machine consider the 15", the speakers are better and the extra 2 inches of screen are great! If you are looking for a travel companion that is easy to pack and fairly light then the 13" is the right pick. There is a lot of talk on the 8GB versus 16GB. Since I have a business that requires 36+ on my Pro Max at home, having anything less than 16 on the go is really not good so I have the M3, 16GB 512. It runs great. If you can afford the extra $, get the 16GB, especially if you plan to keep the machine for more than a few years. It will be well worth it. Does 8GB run for simple things, of course, but if you use Chrome or start to open a large number of tabs and excel or powerpoint then 8GB will swap pretty fast and while it is fast it is not unnoticeable in some cases. For the color, to each their own but I owned the Midnight and it is beautiful but it is a fingerprint magnet. I have the new MBP Space Black and it is better at fingerprints as the new m3 midnight is supposed to be, but not immune to them. I prefer Starlight. It is not boring like silver but not flashy. Just perfect and it doesn't really show that many smudges. I highly recommend the Air it is a great machine for travel, students, and everyday use.

The MacBook Air 13" with the M3 chip, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD in midnight color combines sleek design with exceptional performance. Its lightweight build makes it perfect for on-the-go use, while the M3 chip ensures fast and efficient multitasking. The Retina display is stunning, and the battery life easily lasts through a full day of use. With a comfortable keyboard, precise trackpad, and advanced security features, this laptop is a top choice for anyone needing a powerful and portable device.

It's an excellent laptop with a great price including extra for the memory and storage, 16GB and 512GB SSD. The 13 inch is lighter, easy to carry and to take with me when I travel. Outstanding performance and battery life. I love the Touch ID button which lets me sign in to my laptop quickly. I had to buy a USB-C Multi-Port Hub since the MacBook Air does not have an SD card slot to download photos but the Multi-Port Hub works great.

MacBook Air M3 (2024) Review – Sleek, Powerful, and Long-Lasting The MacBook Air M3 refines Apple’s best ultra-portable laptop with faster performance, incredible battery life, and a stunning display—all in a lightweight, fanless design. Pros: ✅ M3 Chip – Noticeably snappier performance for everyday tasks and light creative work. ✅ Battery Life – Lasts 14-18 hours, making it one of the best in its class. ✅ Silent & Portable – Thin, under 3 lbs, and completely fanless for quiet operation. ✅ Brilliant Retina Display – Sharp, vibrant, and easy on the eyes with True Tone. ✅ MagSafe Charging – Frees up a USB-C port while ensuring a secure connection. Cons: ❌ Still Just Two Thunderbolt Ports – A USB-C hub is almost necessary. ❌ No ProMotion (120Hz Refresh Rate) – Scrolling isn’t as smooth as MacBook Pro models. ❌ Not for Power Users – Handles most tasks well, but heavier video editing or 3D work is better suited for a MacBook Pro. Verdict: For students, professionals, and everyday users, the MacBook Air M3 is the perfect balance of power, portability, and battery life. If you don’t need Pro-level performance, this is one of the best laptops you can buy.

Overall a great purchase. I upgraded from my 2015 MacBook Pro and was initially worried about switching to the Air. After using the Air for a few weeks, it’s proven to have everything I need for basic office work. It’s compact, sleek, and powerful, and the battery life is great. I’m happy I made this purchase.

My daughter has already set this up to do ALL her high school things. She easily connected it to her school accounts, and to all of her other apple products. It is very light weight and durable which travels well in her school backpack and while we travel for her club tournaments. The speed is much quicker than that of her old chromebook. The battery life is amazing.

I absolutely love it. I’ve had it for a few months coming from using Windows laptops. It was an adjustment. The battery life is amazing. I can go days without charging it while using it for 2-3 hours per day. It’s light weight, compact and meets my needs. The synchronous capabilities with my iPhone helps me stay organized and on top of things. I absolutely love my MacBook!

I bought this as a replacement for my wife’s 6 year old MacBook Pro. She absolutely loves how thin and light it is, the super long battery life, and beautiful display. This is her 2nd MacBook and my 4th. I can’t say enough about Apple’s outstanding quality and longevity.

I'll never go back. MacBook Pro or Air for 16 years now and they keep getting better. This MacBook Air is fast, quiet, last forever on a charge, and never heats up even with multiple operations going on at the same time. Love the machine, apps, love it all. Never fails. Great customer service when questions arise.

Upgraded from a previous version of the MacBook Air that had an Intel processor. The M3 processor in this computer makes it run light years ahead of the old one that I had. Lightweight and slim so easy to cary to and from different places. Battery life is excellent. No complaints!

I recently purchased the MacBook 9th Generation, and I am genuinely impressed with what this device offers at such an affordable price point. At just $199, it’s hard to believe how much value is packed into this sleek and efficient machine. The performance is solid for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and even light productivity work. The macOS experience is smooth, and the device handles multitasking with ease. The display is crisp and vibrant, making it a pleasure to use for watching videos or working on documents. The build quality is what you’d expect from Apple – premium and durable. Despite the lower price, the design doesn’t compromise; it’s thin, lightweight, and feels great to carry around. The battery life is another standout feature, lasting me through a full day of use without needing to recharge. One of the best aspects of this MacBook is how it remains so affordable without sacrificing the essentials. It’s perfect for students, casual users, or anyone looking for a reliable laptop on a budget. The integration with the Apple ecosystem is seamless, so if you’re already using an iPhone or iPad, this MacBook fits right into your digital life. Overall, the MacBook 9th Generation at $199 is a steal. It’s rare to find such a well-rounded and capable laptop at this price, making it an easy recommendation for anyone in need of a budget-friendly yet high-quality device.

Great portable laptop, perfect to work from anywhere, light, small, looooong battery life. I have not done any heavy work but enjoyed every minute of basic use. I also have 15 inch and found myself using 13 much more often for its portability without noticing the sacrificed screen space. The sound is a little better on the 15 inch but it is still very good.

I have been enjoying my new MacBook Air so far. It’s light weighted, compact, and fast. Switching from windows to MacBook OS was difficult at first, but now I am enjoying it. 13.6 inch is large enough to use split screen function yet small enough to fit in most of my bags. Overall, I am fully satisfied with my purchase. Also, pick-up service at Bestbuy was super easy.

MacBook’s in general are always comfortable sizes but this M3 MacBook Pro is so light weight! The screen is extremely well lit and anti fingerprint technology on case and screen are amazing to keep it looking new and clean. You also just can’t compare the M3 speed to any intel model laptop. It’s super quiet and runs cool. Great battery life as well as resolution quality, and brightness nits no matter the environment.

I'm so glad I made this purchase. I've only had it for a few weeks, but I've run Scrivener, Discord, Steam, Spotify, Safari, and live wallpapers on this thing without it hiccuping once. I've been able to play Moonstone Island without a stutter. I'm so glad I chose 16GB over the 8. It's a powerful, fun, and super light little beast—and durable.
