I absolutely LOVE this MacBook! It runs really fast. I have had it since February and I use it every single day for everything: texting, internet, FaceTime, and schoolwork. The battery life lasts for a few days or more. This is hands down the best MacBook they have made yet! The design is gorgeous and slim. The picture is clear and beautiful. Easy to carry around wherever you need to go. 10/10 recommend!! ⭐️

My order arrived on time however, the computer was stolen in transit from OnTrac delivery service. I am still in process of disputing the charges for a computer I ordered I did not receive. Best Buy seems to be working with me and my credit card company.

The new MacBook Air 15-inch with the M4 chip is absolutely incredible. It’s insanely fast, handles everything from coding to video editing smoothly, and stays completely silent and cool. The 15-inch display feels spacious yet the laptop still stays super light — perfect balance between power and portability. Battery life is excellent (easily 16+ hours), and the new keyboard and trackpad feel premium as always. If you’re looking for a laptop that combines performance, efficiency, and elegance, the M4 MacBook Air is the best in its class. Perfect for students, professionals, and creatives alike.

I’ve been using the MacBook Air 15 for several weeks now, and overall it has exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stands out is the larger 15-inch display. It provides plenty of screen space for multitasking, work, and media consumption without making the laptop feel bulky or heavy. Despite the larger size, it’s still incredibly thin and easy to carry around. Performance has been excellent for my day-to-day use. Apps open quickly, multitasking feels smooth, and I’ve had no issues with slowdowns. Whether I’m working, browsing, streaming, or handling multiple tasks at once, the laptop stays responsive and quiet. The battery life is another major highlight—I can easily get through a full day without needing to recharge. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, and the trackpad is precise and reliable. The speakers sound surprisingly full for such a slim device, and the build quality feels premium and solid. If there’s one downside, it’s that the port selection is limited, so some users may need adapters depending on their setup. That said, this hasn’t been a major issue for me. Overall, the MacBook Air 15 is a great choice if you want a large, high-quality display, strong performance, excellent battery life, and a lightweight design. It’s been a reliable and enjoyable laptop to use every day.

With the combination of build quality, battery life and performance, the laptop provides exceptional value in today's market. Despite not having an OLED screen, the screen clarity and brightness are top tier. The performance is as snappy as you can expect from an m4 processor with no stutters or lags for day to day tasks which it breezes through. The battery often lasted 14-18 hours during a day of basic office use with negligible losses on standby. One caveat is that 256 gb may not be adequate for someone requiring more storage especially that most windows laptops now start at 512 gb, with a steep price hike to get the 512 gb version. For my purposes of office work however , the 256 GB was adequate yet not future proof. Simply put, the easiest laptop to recommend to anyone.

I’m extremely happy with the MacBook Air 15-inch with the M3 chip. It delivers outstanding performance while staying incredibly thin, light, and completely silent. The M3 processor with 16GB of memory handles multitasking with ease—web browsing with tons of tabs, productivity apps, photo editing, and light video work all run smoothly with zero lag. Everything feels fast and responsive. The 15-inch display is a big upgrade for productivity. It’s bright, sharp, and gives plenty of room for split-screen work. The Midnight color looks premium and modern, and the laptop feels very well built. Battery life is excellent. I can easily get through a full day of work without needing to recharge. The keyboard is comfortable, and the large trackpad is incredibly precise—still the best in the business. The 256GB SSD is fast; storage-conscious users may want external or cloud storage, but performance is excellent. Overall, this is an ideal laptop if you want strong performance, long battery life, and a large screen without the bulk of a Pro model. Highly recommended for students, professionals, and everyday users alike.

Apple MacBook Air 15″ (M4, Blue) – Review for Engi

The MacBook Air 15″ with Apple’s M4 chip is arguably the best balance of portability, performance, and polish Apple has ever offered — especially for engineering managers and technical leaders. Design & Display The 15.3″ Liquid Retina display offers ample real estate for dashboards, IDEs, and video calls. Text rendering is crisp, color accuracy is high, and the Sky Blue/Midnight Blue finish adds quiet sophistication. Despite the larger screen, it remains thin, light, and easy to carry between meetings or travel. Performance & Workload Fit The M4 chip handles multitasking effortlessly — dozens of browser tabs, VS Code, Slack, Docker, and Teams can run without slowdown. Compilation and local testing are fast, and thermal throttling is virtually nonexistent for typical engineering workloads. The silent, fanless design is perfect for focus sessions or late-night code reviews. Battery & Mobility Battery life easily spans a full day of heavy use, often 15–17 hours. That reliability means you can move between home, office, and travel without hunting for power outlets — a huge plus for leaders in back-to-back meetings. Connectivity & Limitations Two Thunderbolt 4 ports and MagSafe charging keep things simple, though a hub is useful for monitors or peripherals. The new M4 architecture now supports up to two external 6K displays — ideal for those using side-by-side dashboards or multi-window coding environments. Verdict For engineering leaders who value responsiveness, stability, and design elegance, the MacBook Air 15″ (M4) is a powerful yet understated tool. It delivers near-Pro-level performance with far better portability and battery life. Unless your work involves GPU-intensive builds or simulations, there’s little reason to move up to a MacBook Pro. Ideal for: Software Engineering Leads, Product Managers, and Technical Architects seeking performance + mobility.

After using my 15-inch MacBook Air (M4) for a few weeks, I can say without hesitation: this is Apple’s best balance of power, portability, and design yet. With the new M4 chip, performance has taken a noticeable leap forward — all while keeping the machine fanless, silent, and incredibly energy efficient. Battery & Performance The M4 chip is a game-changer. It handles everything from everyday multitasking to heavier creative workflows (like photo editing and multitasking with large spreadsheets) effortlessly. Apps launch instantly, and switching between them feels seamless. Most impressive of all, I can use it all day — and still have battery left over. Apple’s battery optimization with the M4 is second to none.

The tech is good, the chip is the one of the strongest they have brought out with the exception of a few in the Macbook Pro and the Mac Studio, 256 gigs of storage is a little anaemic but If you don't have large applications then it should be completely usable especially when it's paired with iCloud (Understandable if you don't want to pay extra for it though). I do some daily computing and heavy photo editing on it and it's great, though I can't speak for heavier tasks like video editing or compute-heavy tasks. with this chip, the battery life is also phenomenal, I can use it unplugged for hours, whereas a windows laptop on similar specs will be on life support after two hours. Display is great, I haven't personally checked the color accuracy but I have transferred imaged between devices and they seem to be pretty consistent, so I mostly trust it. Speakers are amazing, Apple seems to be one of the few companies making laptops that still put actual effort into their speakers, simultaneously loud and clear, I can't say the same for my previous laptop. MacOS 26 still has growing pains, but it's Apple software and that always happens. Can't claim it's fully bug-free or a perfect experience.

We've had five iMacs, three iPads, two iPods, and one of the first Apple notebooks. We keep buying Apple because the products keep doing what we need them to do. This new MacBook Air is no exception. It's just the right size, very light, and easy to use. It's long battery life and its speed of computing make for easy work production, keeping up with e-mails, and leisurely gaming. It's an excellent all-around choice.
