Ive had my MacBook air for about 2 months now and Ive gotta say I enjoy this 15 inch display more than I thought I would. Ya see, Im somebody who has to use glasses because Im blind AF as in I cant see things too far from me. Ive always enjoyed the ultraportable 12 and 13 inch laptops because they are so cool but as I got older the more I realized that having a bigger display might make my life a little easier and thats exactly what this 15 inch MBA has accomplished. Part of the reason I didn't want to buy a bigger laptop like this was because I was worried about it being too heavy but I was wrong, for a 15 inch laptop this is very sturdy and light at about 3 1/4 pounds. As for performance this thing flies through everything I do such as editing FHD video, multiple tabs open in my browser, watching videos and editing documents. I don't really play games on here but from what Ive seen it does a very decent job especially for a machine passively cooled. Im also pleased Apple brought back MagSafe and included the charger and charging brick in the box. Trackpad works amazing, audio is loud and clear with some base and battery life is spectacular. As for the things I don't like are the 2 USB c ports ON ONE SIDE! Why Apple did this is beyond me but its dumb. I dont mind having just 2 USB c ports but come on man. Im also not a fan of how nothing is upgradeable on this machine. Ram and storage is built into the board so what you buy is what you get. Id highly advise everyone to go for the 16GB ram 512GB model because 8GB of ram for a full blown laptop starting off at $1300.00 is a ripoff even at $1000.00, Id say at that point either upgrade to the 16/512GB model or look elsewhere. With all that being said I think its totally worth the price and even more so if you can find this as an open box deal which mine was!

The “Midnight” color is beautiful! My first MacBook; and I love it! Beautiful clear colors on screen. Easy to set up when you get it. Lightweight, so easy to carry and take with you. Battery lasts a long time!! I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. Luv the light up keyboard also. I am 65 and like the size of the screen. Very happy with my purchase.

I am a writer and multimedia content creator who takes a lot of photos and does some editing for social videos. I agonized between getting this computer or the new macbook pros. On the one hand, the other computer had more than enough power, but I loved the form factor and portability of this machine. I ultimately decided I'd rather have a machine that I could take with me anywhere and not feel the weight as much on my back after a long day of taking photos. Price wasn't a deciding factor for me, but I did like saving a few hundred bucks between the two options. You know exactly what you get with Apple, and that's a machine that just works, right out of the box. It's plenty powerful for my use cases, and the computer runs photoshop and lightroom without a hitch. I haven't done any 4k video editing on Premiere just yet, but from what I've seen, I imagine it will handle some smaller tasks decently well. The battery life is fantastic, I love knowing that with a full charge I can easily go to a coffee shop and not need to find an outlet for a full days worth of work. I was a little nervous about the screen not being LED, but it looks absolutely gorgeous, and in reality, I can't tell the difference in day to day operation from the Macbook Pros I use for work.
