Love it! Excellent battery life and capable performance for daily tasks, schooling and light creative work.

Got it for my wife for her school. It works great. This is only my second MacBook the first one I had was a Intel chip and I wasn't too impressed with it, but the A18 chip is amazing compared to those. The quality is fantastic. The aluminum chassis is nice and sturdy. I have a laptop for hp that was roughly the same price point and it needs to be fully on a flat hard surface otherwise when you click the mouse pad it will get stuck down or click by itself. You wasn't able to use it as a laptop. With the neo you can have it on one leg and everything works fine. If you need a video editing rig this will do it. But this wouldn't be the first one I would go to. If you need a laptop that will last all day in school with better performance, quality and battery life than a Chromebook or definitely a windows laptop can give you. This is definitely the the laptop for you. If you can get the 512gb with the finger lock. But if you can't the 256gb will be just fine.

It's certainly not terrible but there were some things we do not love. The ports are lacking. Don't think it would have killed them to add a USB-A port. It is also not touch screen. I love how affordable this laptop is. It does everything that I need it to (which is basically running a browser with a bazillion tabs open. :D I wish there were larger memory options available to run some memory-intensive programs. But for those that just need to do internet based things, this is perfect.

We bought this for my daughter she is going to be a junior in Highschool. There is no difference in the way the user interface operates between the MacBook NEO and my MacBook Pro Max. I even did a 4k video rendering test and the Neo was pretty quick. Don't be afraid of this because of the A18 chip. Apple has optimized this thing for everyday use. The keyboard and hinge lid feel just as good ad the one on my MacBook Pro.

The Neo is powerful, easy to navigate and lightweight. This is my first laptop and I am thrilled with it. The low cost was a big draw.

Super clean laptop. It boots up fast, handles everything I throw at it, and the screen looks great. Battery life is solid, and it doesn’t lag even when I’ve got multiple apps open. Perfect for working on my movie scripts and creative stuff. Definitely a good buy.
