the BB people were great in assisting in the purchase and since the old laptop died they helped us with retrieving the data off of the hard drive...something that the Apple store said was not possible or very expensive and we truly appreciated this data retrieval!

This purchase replaced by MacBook Pro from mid 2012. It is much smaller, easier to carry and soooo much faster than my previous one.

The new MacBook Pro is quality as advertised and expected. My complaint with this machine is the two USB-C ports ONLY. This is extremely limiting, not only in terms of technology, but also in terms of devices. One port must be used for power, which means only one port remains for devices, printers, charging your phone, etc. Additional adapters are therefore required, at additional cost. Seriously?! I paid well over $2,000 for a machine that can't charge my iPhone without a separate device? Come on Apple; that's pathetic. On a remote location and need to connect to a local printer? You're out of luck unless you also packed your USB adapter. Traveling and need to charge your phone? You can't do it unless you have your adapter. Need the portability of a small, solid machine? Now you have an adapter(s) dangling from your sleek little device, making it very clumsy. Apple is great at developing new technology, but threw out standard technology too soon. This machine really should have come with a standard USB port.

This Mac book Pro has a very good design. Performance is great.It is also light weight so you carry wherever you go.

To get a better form factor and reduce weight, Apple dropped some common connectivity options. Lots of people have already mentioned the missing Ethernet port and USB-C only. If you still want or need Ethernet/USB then you have to buy add-on adapters that are actually worth the money. Got this laptop at a good, discounted price so it was easier to spring for the extra cost adapters. Performance and graphics wise, nice upgrade from the 2012 MacBook 17 inch.

I have always been a Windows user and got introduced to Macbook after I got one at work. That was a 15" 2014 model and I was interested to use the a latest version. I had a great experience with Mac and it's been over a year & haven't experienced any issues with it. It is suitable for everything. Video and sound editing, programming, listening to music and watching movies. It's good for all the work. The only thing would be Macbooks are crazy expensive. It would have cost me an additional $200 if I had bought the one with the touchbar. If you don't mind shelling out the bucks, Macbook Pro is a very versatile and sturdy laptop for personal as well as professional use.

Great laptop for the price. Quick, plenty of storage, and lightweight. Would highly recommend.

Great! I love that it's light weight and powerful!

It's a bit pricey, but functions really well. Great for my kid at college. Small and lightweight for hauling around everywhere. Don't like the only connections to external devices are limited to the two little USB ports. Already had to buy an overpriced Apple adapter to connect iphone to it. Going to look into the non-Apple adapters that offer regular USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc, jacks.

But this is a replacement to my 15 inch work laptop MacBook Pro which was nine years old and blew up. It’s working wonderfully and is a great deal more compact. It’s powerful and very fast. If it lasts me as long as my last MacBook Pro I will also be quite enamored with Apple products as I always have been!!!!

I bought a MacBook Pro for my son 7 years ago. It survived 4 years of high school backpacks and 2 1/2 years of college. Time for a newer, speedier processor and more storage.

For the price tag I would liked Apple to throw in the keyboard touchbar, I was expecting it in this Macbook. Also not too happy with the feel of the keyboard and clicking sound that keys make. It is a bit too loud. Performance is great.

I purchased this computer because I needed more power and memory. I had the old MacBook pro which got too old and too slow so then I tried the MacBook last year...which is good, if you are looking for just the basics. However, I blog and edit photographs and create websites, therefore, I needed something with much more power. This MacBook pro seems to be handling everything sublimely.
