I have had this laptop since 2019 and LOVE it. I have never had an issue. Sometimes it gets a little hot but that’s rare.

I am a junior in high school and my grandparents bought this laptop for me as a Christmas gift and I am in love with it. I have the iPhone 7 Plus, AirPods, an iHome, and an apple watch and this is a perfect fit for my apple products. The continuity between all of my products is absolutely amazing and I would totally recommend this laptop for anyone who has other apple products. I currently use this laptop for everyday tasks such as Netflix streaming, typing papers, playing music, etc, and do not need nor use all of the capabilities available on this laptop, but it works for me fine. I use google docs and the other google platforms for my school so I did not get the Microsoft Office platforms with this purchase, but I will purchase it in the near future for college. Anyone who wants to use this as a school laptop or college laptop, I would totally buy it as the capabilities would far exceed what you will be using them for. I love the noise that typing creates, I love the screen display and have no problem with there only bring two usb-c ports. Coming from an Lenovo laptop, I never used any of the ports besides the charging one and find that the two ports on this one is no problem at all. Overall I have no problem with it and would 100% recommend this laptop for everyone. Tip for PC to Mac users: Watch pc to Mac youtube videos to give you pointers, tips and minor alterations you can make to your laptop so it does not seem like a big change anyways.

I’ve been wanting a macbook for a while now but was going back and forth on the cost. Safe to say definitely money well spent

I bought this version of the Macbook Pro solely to edit photos in the desktop version of Lightroom Classic CC on the go. Mainly for the Retina Display. I was a bit hesitant because of the basic specs, but I knew it would probably do just fine for my needs. And boy, does it deliver. Not only is it the perfect portable size, but it packs the perfect amount of power to run Lightroom from import to export without missing a beat. I don't notice any difference from my way better spec'd out PC. Like I said, the most in going to push it is casual photo editing. I don't edit video or anything more demanding. I couldn't be any more happy with this purchase. Hope this helps!

my true love i will never go back to windows The good, its got an amazing screen on it. The weight is much nicer than the macbook air and i love the color! The bad.. you will need a hefty bank account. You will need to buy adapters for any kind of usb ended plug you use which to me isnt the end of the world. Any apple product out there has lately been requiring an adapter of some sort. Mine I needed usb c to usb and I needed usb c to lightning and I needed badly the extra extension cord because these models dont come with the extra long cable. Otherwise I am very happy!

Great laptop for a decent price. I bought it as my little sisters first laptop.

This system does not allow you to use multiple drives to transfer data easily. It has 2 C-ports that are right next to each other. I bought a C-port docking station from Iogear that was recommended by the staff and it does not work. If you want to plug anything into the system at all you have to have an adapter. If you get frustrated with the dock not working you would then have to have 2 C-Port to USB adapters to connect external drives and you would have no power - the c-port is also the way to charge the system. You could buy a c-port to USB HUB and plug that in - if it works. If you want to hook it up to a monitor with a USB drive you would have no power either. Having only 2 c-ports limits what you can do with the system. Since the c-port dock is useless that leaves you with a $1,200 system you cannot use if you want to work with music files. That does not work for me. If you just use email and do not need to hook up anything else to this system other than power you will be happy with it. It is fast and sleek and look very nice. If you need it for work you will be very disappointed - like I am.

I have always been a long time fan of Apple but never took the jump on purchasing a Mac. A few days ago they were on sale for a price I couldn’t pass up, and I’m glad I didn’t! This is by far the most capable computer I have ever used. The interface is like second nature, the battery life is amazing, the speed is unmatched. The integration into the Apple ecosystem is seamless. I couldn’t be happier, definitely recommend it!

Use it everyday for school work and games, best purchase for the price

I still have this computer. I bought it in 2018. It has withstood the test of time. I have used this for school, music production using Garageband & Logic Pro X. Sims4. Huge programs will drain the battery out after a few hours unless plugged in to power. The audio quality is superb.

I love this laptop, from the crisp Retina display to the 7th Generation core I5 processor. This being my first Macintosh computer, I found everything beautiful compared to the average windows 10. Other than the lack of USB ports, nothing could be improved on this notebook computer.

From the moment you take out of the box and power it up the MacBook Pro is magnificent. The looks alone speaks volumes to the quality. The overall performance that I have experienced is impressive, especially when going from a mid level windows laptop to this. The only complaint I have is the limited number of ports with just 2 usbc ports.

Solid purchase. Lasted me 5+ years but it is kind of too slow now for my liking now. This may be due to my storage use or not enough RAM, but I believe it is now time to make the jump to M1.

Went in looking for a MacBookPro and got the best deal on an open book which was as new and less then what I would’ve ever expected. Great purchase and I’m loving my MacBookPro, never any issues with my first MacBook and hopefully the same with this new one.

I would not recommend for purchase I bought this 2018 and 2023 it stopped working suddenly. I took care of laptop well enough but it’s not working anymore
