I am a student at a university and for my notes, homework, research, social media stalking, Netflix binging, and random google searches, this laptop is absolutely perfect. I used an HP before this laptop and I always complained about how slow it was and how quickly it died (I couldn't go anywhere without my charger). My MacBook has exceeded all my past expectations of what a laptop should be (I never thought I would be impressed by Retina display). I bought it with the hope that it will last me a very long time and so far, I don't think another laptop will ever make me this happy. The only bad thing I have to say about this laptop is that there is only a slot to plug in your charger and headphones. A USB port would make it better, but you can buy them separately and there are also many places online to use as a file folder rather than saving them on to junk drives. Overall, I love my MacBook Pro.

I have always been a Mac lover. My lasted MacBook Pro last 7 years and it still works. I recently upgraded just for faster speeds. I wish Apple didn't do the one type of port thing because I have to purchase so many converters(HDMI, USB, VGA) but its not a deal breaker for me.

This is my second MacBook Pro. My first model lasted about 10 years and then started having log on problems. It worked very well all those years. So I replaced it with a newer version and expect it to last for many years. It's fast and simple. I enjoy using it at home and while traveling.

This was a upgrade from our previous model we purchased four years ago. Super fast and videos download quickly, lightweight and slim compact design make it easy to transport. So many feature upgrades from our older model. Very satisfied and would recommend this purchase to anyone

I purchased this Mac to replace a 10 year old MacBook Pro. And as old as the MacBook was, it still booted up faster then my newer windows PC. It’s quite amazing. The main issue I had with old Mac is that it’s OS was no longer updated, so some features were not available. So of course, when looking for a replacement, I knew I had to get another Mac. I wasn’t sold on the Mac with the fancy touchbar. Perhaps I’m old school and like the buttons. Or maybe because it’s the 1st gen and I don’t want to have any issues. This Mac is excellent, solid build, looks nice, quick. Some cons: One of my main issues, that I’ve learned to live you is the mapping of my network storage device. The drive drops off when I shut down. So next time I use the laptop, I have to remap the network drive. I am wished it had a wired cat 5 connection. I guess if I want it, I’ll have to buy an FireWire to Ethernet adopter. Aside from that, it’s a great laptop, you can’t got wrong!

This laptop is good, I wouldn't recommended for a fresh college student. I bought it for school and haven't yet used it to its full potential. If you would like something for school there are better options for half the price.

Love the screen size and display. We knew we needed a mac over PC and his was the right choice.
