Thought these were the best available at this price

It is a neat concept, but i find myself continuously going back to windows laptop to finish the bulk of my work. The metal is easy to damage, buy a good neoprene sleeve!

Disappointed they don't have the internal dvd anymore. Apple charges high dollar for it's products but then you have to buy separate add-ons because they always change everything.

Bought this because I needed it for work, but I am concerned the keyboard is going to have issues since they didn't protect it from getting dust into the mechanism.

I have been an avid user of the 2017 MBP w/touch bar for the past week. I upgraded from the 2015 MBP. So far I am greatly enjoying the computer and highly recommend it to others. I'm not good at writing reviews, but here are the pros, cons and non-issues: Pros: + Touch Bar - I didn't know how much use I'd get out of it, but I quite enjoy it. It's a nice touch to have on your computer, if you are willing to pay the additional price. + Low Profile Keys - The low profile keys are a nice touch. They might take some getting used to, though. I find they are faster to type on and have a better feel, but feel harder to press than the 2015 keys. + Slim design - Gorgeous redesigned outer body. It looks so much better than the 2015 version. + Faster charging time - Is it just me or does the USBC-3 port seem to charge the computer so much faster than the old magsafe connector? + Fingerprint resistant keys - I keep my fingers, and keyboard clean, but I notice this keyboard seem to be more resistant to fingerprints than the 2015 model. + Loud speakers. Nice acoustics - Probably the loudest speakers on the market in a laptop computer for its size. + Beautiful aesthetics - Really nice, sleek redesign. Looks much better than 2015 and older models. Cons: + Keyboard might take a little getting used to with the low profile keys. But overall I like it. Not An Issue: + Adapters - This is the price of being an early adopter. Soon manufacturers will make USBC-3 compatible accessories. + No SD slot - Not everyone is a professional photographer and needs an SD slot. When I take photos they upload to my cloud and I can download them to the computer if I want. You can always purchase an adapter with an SD card slot if you want. + Large trackpad - I have never had any issues with palm rejection. This is a non-issue for me. I don't rest my palm on the trackpad when typing, only the sides of my thumbs graze the trackpad when typing. I have never had any issues with palm rejection. + Keyboard sound - I rather enjoy the louder clicking sounds of the redesigned keyboard. Some may not like it, but I find it rather soothing. I am taking off 1* for the keyboard. Again I do enjoy it, but it takes a little getting used to. I find it harder to press on the keys, though I do type faster, so it's a trade-off.

Purchased this MacBook in December 31, 2017. In March 2018 it would make a grinding noise and lock up. Of course, contacted Best Buy and since it was past the 45 days for my return for an Elite member they wouldn't do anything. Took it to an authorized apple support store and they stated they would ship it out and call me once it was fixed. Called 3 days later to pick it up and was told they replaced both left and right fans and was told it fixed the problem. Brought it home that evening and did some work on it for about 30 minutes and the noise was back and a lot louder. It locked up completely and wouldn't even shut down. Called Apple Support the next day and was told to ship it to them and they would fix it under the Apple Warranty. Received it back this morning after the Logic Board being replaced. I did not purchase the AppleCare warranty as I figured for the cost and being that I am a 37 year old adult I wouldn't need accidental protection. Now Apple won't let me purchase the extended warranty, they claim it's too late. After only having this MacBook for 4 months it seems to me that this purchase was a HUGE waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

There is a serious problem with sierra. I have purchased this computer and am past the return period. The WIFI DOES NOT work. I urge you to google problems with mac and sierra connecting to wifi before purchasing . I am a loyal apple customer and am frustrated and disappointed that i purchased a useless piece of 1600 $ machinery

I bought this to transfer my home movies to DVD. Even the Apple store was unable to help me. I’m very disappointed!

My First Mac Purchase , worked great for about 6 mo Then it seemed that even if I Powered down my computer at 100% in the evening, in the morning i get to work open my Mac and its Dead... Im so disappointed that there are recalls on the MacBook Pro but NOT the TouchBar Model But when the computer turns on i love it

MacBook Pro Touch ID what waste of product, I purchase two of them different Best Buy stores, the first the Touch ID screen not working properly took into Apple store and told that it was not a software issue but a mechanical issue, they told to return it to the store and get another one which I did and it did the same thing, worker from Geek Squad told me that she knew about that problem from the MacBook Pro Touch ID and there was nothing they can do about it.

Bought an openbox Macbook pro 13 256 GB with touch bar and faced heating problem. Be cautious while buying an openbox product.

It was working great until I spilled few drops of water now it’s totatlly black out

This is a great little computer. It handles light gaming well, and flys through any of the apple apps you use. I actually currently own the 15" i7 also, and I feel like the 13'' (3.1ghz) actually runs better than the i7 2017 MacBook Pro. The track pad is AMAZING and highly responsive. I love the touch bar, I was skeptical about it until I got to try it for myself. It gives using a laptop a whole new experience. I have been a windows user for 15 years a just made the Mac switch, and I'm glad I waited until this model to do so! I also really like the thunderbolt ports as you can charge from any of the ports so being stuck with a charger on one side will not be an issue.

Unit broke down after one month of use, and Best Buy wouldn’t honor any 30 day warranty. Had to go to Apple to repair unit. Not buying from Best Buy again.
