piece of no good. bought this for my wife and now the touch bar is not working. took it to apple and said they will repair it by replacing the logic board.

Great computer for college! Love the new sound system as well as the touch bar. This thing is a beast! Love this one more than my other Mac Book Pro I had for one year and a half.

This laptop is worth the upgrade if you're coming from the mid 2012 MacBook pro. Performance and build quality is great and the lack of traditional ports is not a big concern since best buy's insignia adapters are inexpensive compared to apples adapters. This is also very light and thin

First, this is my fourth MacBook Pro going back 6+ years. I waited to for the 2017 version to upgrade from my 2015 MBP due to early reviews on the 2016 battery life and after using this, I have to say I am disappointed in the device as it has gotten tangibly worse in several areas and I don't think better in any. Here are my key points: 1. Keyboard - The new low-travel Butterfly keyboard is just not as nice of a keyboard to type on and I make noticeably more mistakes because of the need to press slightly harder. Also, with pressing harder, the keyboard is louder. Others complain about the same thing. Just a less pleasing keyboard to use than the 2015 MBP. 2. Touchpad - This was always the strength of the MB with other devices coming close, but never equaling the quality of the touchpad. With the new MBP, the touchpad is bigger and I don't see the added value in the size. But my issue is not that directly, it is that like the keyboard, there are more "errors" with the touchpad because the palm rejection is not perfect and your palm naturally hits it more. More frequently than it should occur, I find two-finger scrolling will stop and it is because my palm is hitting the bottom right hand corner of the touchpad. 3. TouchBar - Lot of discussion on this and maybe over time it will have more value with app support, but I am not a fan. The Touchbar is just not in your field of view and I don't see the value of any of the buttons currently pushed to it. I think they really missed on this. Battery is good with the 2017, I am getting around 8 hours which is acceptable and in line with my prior MBP. I also did not comment on the port situation which is one of the most complained about areas. I am fine with the USB-C ports as they do add value in charging, connectivity, etc. My only complaint with the ports is the design inconsistency for Apple (iPhones cannot plug into MB, iPhone headphones cannot plug into MB), which has not been common in the past. An ok device, but honestly, this is the first MB I have gotten where I liked it less than my prior.

Great Laptop! Would not trade it for the world! I legit have had it for 6+ years! APPLE APPLE APPLE! Bestbuy did me a solid with the reliability and the Open Box Price!

Decided this Mother's Day I was going to upgrade the wife's laptop. Started out purchasing her a Dell 13" 7000 Series 2n1. She didn't like the build quality of it, and the the fact when she typed on the keyboard the screen would bounce. Took that back and picked up a Lenovo YOGA 720. Didn't realize the 730 was out so I quickly exchanged the 720 for the 730. She used that for a week. She liked it, but wasn't in love with it. Fast forward to last weekend, Best Buy had the Memorial Day sales event going on and $350 off of MacBook Pro's. She's never used a Mac before, but has all other Apple products, so I asked her if she wanted to try it and she said yes. Exchanged the 730 for the MacBook Pro 13 i5, 8GB, 256MB Space Grey. She is in love with it! Great computer, great build quality, she loves the keyboard, speakers, screen, you name it... She's learning pretty quick MacOS. Was also able to take advantage of the extra $50 off for students. Was so pleased with the MacBook Pro that I returned my Yoga 920 Glass and picked up the same system but with 512MB SSD.

I have owned many computers over the years but this laptop might just be the best computer I have ever had. Speed, display, response, quality of the touchpad and keys are all top notch! Buy one with the touch bar--- not only does the touch bar offer ahead of the curve technology but saves time.

I am obsessed with my new MacBook! I am an Apple lover and the Touch Bar model of the MacBook Pros are definitely the way to go! Thanks to the guy that persuaded me to buy it!

I'm a PC kind of person, however I needed this laptop for work. It is an amazing laptop, runs smoothly and handles everything I can throw at it.

I bought the late 2016 MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar Open box and I thought that the 1400k investment was worth but it wasn't. First, I didn't get my 1 year warranty because it was an open box, and Apple said that the warranty starts from the original purchase date. Not having a warranty wouldn't have been annoying if I hadn't started experiencing problems with the keyboard and the macbook it self. Some keys started to be unresponsive and they feel weird. The space bar got fully damaged so I had it replaced but shortly after that I started experiencing similar problems with the "delete" and the "enter" keys. The touch bar is also not perfect. It froze a couple of times and it just doesn't work until you restart the Macbook. For the price of $1400 I expected a notebook that did not have as much problems in software and hardware, especially from an Apple product. This is the most expensive investment I've made on Apple and it had been a disappointment. For $1400 you can get a really good computer with top-notch features. In conclusion, a $1400 product is not supposed to be defective and Apple should try to fix the problems that are common in their product. I made some research and they have experienced problems with their "butterfly" keyboards, especially with the first gen. The 2017 macbook apparently has a 2nd gen keyboard but I don't know if it fixes all the problems. Don't buy an open-box product unless you are 100% sure it will not cause you any problems in the long run and don't buy a MacBook Pro is you want to get your money's worth. The touch bar is an incredible feature but it is not worth $1400 bucks.

Great for college students and professionals. Still working after 3 years of college.
